I'll be skirting the Caberet Field, trying to pluck up the courage to say hello

I've appointed Bennyhana to escourt us so I can't chicken out again!

Welcome to come with us if you are scared :)

Thanks guys :)

I'll try and be a big brave girl :D

I'm sure I'll skulk around a bit first though.

You'll be absolutely fine, no need to skulk.  We usually have the eFests flag up before 6.00, so just head for the flag (unless we forget it, we have a habit of forgetting things

Pear_Cider is usually one of the first, sometimes he's there waiting for us. :P

I've added efests to our plan :) (the plan has already been laminated... OH will be unimpressed at having to re-do & re-laminate but it'll keep him busy!)

Mik Artistik was on our plan for 6pm but it's not like we won't be able to catch him at another time :D:D:D

I'm so excited, in fact I've gone so far past excited I think I might explode :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Is this a joke or have you actually laminated a plan?! That is some serious dedication. What happens if you want to go offplan?

I hope to be in by this point in two weeks but all bets are off this year... If we are we will have pitched and gone for a wander. Traditional pint of Brothers and sumo noodles in West Holts :)

Mik 100%, unless the traffic KO's that plan like last year. It can't happen 2 years on the bounce, right?

Security will make entrance slower, but the traffic should keep rolling.

Well it started as a joke, remember the Friends episode with the lists and Ross had his laminated?

Then the OH actually did laminate last year's!

We don't fully stick to the plan, last year probably about 50/50

:yahoo:

Haha hats off to you! :) I'd like to see photographic evidence though...

Stepping over guide ropes with shoelaces dragging, damp toilet roll in hand, rotten breath, dew on the grass, croaky hello to sore eyed strangers, chatter at low volume, the distant scent of cheap breakfasts, a patient queue, no cup for the compost, wondering who else will be up and smiling when I return.

    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
