Obviously The National never sold it out and they seem to have a fairly dedicated fanbase, whereas you don’t really see too many War on Drugs obsessives do you? Saying that, I can’t see it being a disaster. Nancy Reagan? I'll get my coat...
mufcok
Thought TWOD set was very dull at Primavera a few weeks back and I really like them The sound was a bit off to be fair but even so it was poor compared to the last few times I've watched them
Badlands
Loved TWOD when they were early doors at the Pyramid a few years back - sound was crystal clear. They were dull when I saw them in April just gone though, very little crowd interaction, lots of 5 minute feedback intro's (could have fit a few more songs in) - generally underwhelming. baggie92
Surely Sir Paul McCartney must be highly likely for 2019 now considering he's got an album due for release in the autumn?

He doesn't usually do them. Plus I feel like the flagging interest in recent Swift, Stones and Carters stadium tours might have the big promoters thinking twice for the next couple of years. I'll take him at Glastonbury though yes.
Quark
I have absolutely no interest in seeing Macca I must confess. Crowd singalong would be cool, but then so's Baggy Mondays for the same reason

Given that Sir Paul has been doing arenas on the last few tours, it maybe doesn't indicate the best time to be taking things outdoors. Hugh Jass
Macca was absolutely brilliant in 04, loved every second of it. But let's be honest, it would just be the same set again.

CaledonianGonzo
Macca has enough belters to mix it up a chunk - and he's definitely done so at the gigs I've seen.

Everything. New album out in September. Double A Side released today. Also Macca in the legends slot?! Fucking behave. CaledonianGonzo
Macca could do the Legends Slot with his solo material and things like Ob La Di Ob La Da and Yellow Submarine - then later on headline with a Bevvy of Beatles Bangers like Day Tripper, Come Together and Piggies. I only realised very recently the Day Tripper was a John song. Turns out Paul is on "backing" vocals, singing over the top of the composer. Prick. Gnomicide
Macca interview on Radio 2 earlier, they asked about Glastonbury (Jo Wiley saying a drunk Stella was insisting he do it). He said he hadn't been asked but if they did then yeah, he'd probably do it. It's on.

Gnomicide
Didn't Jagger's daughter nag him to play it? Sounds like Macca's daughters are on the case.
CaledonianGonzo
Macca's always on rhe road. I suppose having a new album out could steer him towards a few higher profile slots. I dunno that the fest would be champing at the bit to book him again, but then Arctic Monkeys look like a lock and they've played twice and shat the bed twice.
