Demographic of the average Arctic Monkeys fan post-AM.

I'm old enough to remember when Dancefloor first came out.?

So are most 20-25 year olds, we sang it in primary school/early secondary school and are equally bemused by THBC as you lot. Although many of us dug AM tbf.

Average AM fan post-TBHC and is a mental hospital patient.

Now get AM to do THBC in full and see what happens to the commentariat.

Where’s the beach boys rumour come from Neil? It’s red in the rumours!

a good source passed me that one, and in theory it should be right.

But ... until a week or two ago they were in the rumours anyway, and i removed them - because their tourdates suggest they're not doing it.

So I'm a bit confused about whether it is right or not.

In an otherwise decent article on the Stormzy announcement, Jonathan Dean in GQ says Arctic Monkeys are most likely to headline Saturday: https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/stormzy-glastonbury-headliner

Just had a butchers, weird he's gone with Macca for Sunday with that. As far as i'm concerned if The Cure is wrong then there's no reason Macca would be right.

Meanwhile, I had a second "it's the Cure" come my way (about 2 weeks ago), via what should be about the best source going.

I'm hearing a fair amount of talk of Arctics while being less than convinced it's right. It's coming from the same sorts of people (well-ish connected people but often with imperfect info) who have also been saying Springsteen - journo circles, which would explain why a journo has written it in an article.

I'd have called Arctics this year but never would have put them in for Friday, defo Saturday or Sunday. Obviously there is a chance than info is older to when the possibility of The Cure were happening...but things changed. I personally don't think had they had one pull out that Alex and Co would be hard to draft in instead.

I know half of the board is going to kill me but is there any chance that The Cure would take a different slot and not headline? Stormzy, AM and Macca sounds more complete imo. There is still that info from the american AM fanpage though...

it seems incredibly unlikely, as they ALWAYS headline the festivals they do.

But also, my info (from a few different directions) has been specifically headline. If they're not headlining I don't think there's much reason to think they'd be playing in another slot. If the info is wrong about headlining it's very possibly all wrong.

    • If anyone spots any new tour posters on site could they share them please? Hoping for ADTR and Electric Callboy tours
    • It completely depends on how that count is done   if it’s individuals entering the arena each day, over the whole weekend, it was at 30% capacity and in no way one of the highest attended festivals in the UK   it was in no way as low as 30% though so that can’t be the measure, so as a number, with no context, “90,000” is meaningless.   Only one category of Leeds ticket seems to have moved on to second tier pricing at this point. I don’t think this is necessarily a sales indicator as much as a method to keep prices up north lower than down south but with this and the anecdotal video evidence, it’s clear Leeds has been nowhere near its capacity (of 90,000/ day) the last 2-3 years
    • £56 - £118 was the price range.   Which for an arena show, dare I say it, felt "okay" in this environment.
    • I’m sure someone said on here months back that they self confirmed at one of their gigs, like late last year
    • Yeah Kurt Vile keeps growing on me more and more. DCFC I found solid enough but relatively forgettable unfortunately.
