Aye and i wouldn't go see them without Freddie as he was the voice. No way can the same be said for her. Victoria not being there is an authentic representation of the original talent.

I think my standpoint on the 'broad church of musical tastes at Glastonbury' is what people interpret that to mean. To me it means expanding the reach of Glastonbury beyond the mainstream to include the fringe musical tastes, that no obscure interest is too out there. It doesn't mean including even more mainstream, popular, big sellers. That's not a broad church, thats just filling the pews with more of the same.

But my wife likes her pop and felt Take That were not the same act when they toured without Robbie as part of their comeback. Those that grew up with them will feel that they're not getting a full authentic experience. 

I can't vouch for the Westlifers after McFadden went solo.

My favourite was always Lammo Spice - Sporty was the Spice Girl you would go for a pint with and Posh was the one who you'd take home to meet your mother, but Lammo Spice was always your first choice if you wanted a Spice Girl to play you the latest hot hit by the Mega City Four.

I think the bandwidth has remained narrow at Glastonbury for whatever reason - this is really very obvious if you spend time at Womad or the Proms which often I find much more experimental and challenging than anything I have seen at Glastonbury. Should that be the case? I dunno.

Well yeah ,it stands to reason that events specialising in a certain genre will be more in-depth than an event which provides a variety.

I think it's certainly narrowed on the main stages since the post Jay Z year in that the Eavii seemed to have made a conscious move towards getting huge selling acts which in turn has led to a rapidly increasing demand for tickets.

I think the 'womad' part of Glastonbury has gone tbh.

True of course, yet if you delve deeply enough into the depths off the undercard, Glastonbury does throw up some nicely mental leftfield experimental stuff...

Weeks of dissecting the line up as if I were a member of a CSI team does help, of course.

Womad type acts often get a good showing at Glastonbury. There's quite a crossover.
