Playing Birmingham on the Friday and Liverpool Sunday - surely they are big enough

If we’re now thinking Sunday for The Cure, what would that mean for Paul McCartney? Sunday seemed the obvious day for him, would he have enough time to be back for the Saturday?

Cure did 3 nights in a row at Wembley Arena in 2016 so consecutive nights not likely to be an issue.  Don't think it rules them out for Saturday.

Weren't The Killers in Italy the night before their surprise JP slot last year?  

Fri - AM/1975?

Sat - Cure

Sun - Macca

The nights that bands play doesn't really make that much of a difference, i'd expect it just depends on when they are free but the sunday night headliner may come into Michael and Emily's thinking a bit more due to that being the day the locals come in. Macca would have seemed the obvious one to appease them rather than the cure but I suppose it depends on how much they prioritise that if at all (however they've had sheeran and coldplay on sundays recently)

If you judge it by 2013 Michael and Emily don't seem to like the locals all that much.

Macca is playing Wednesday night (Thursday morning our time) in the States, so even if he leaves straight after he'll be touching down here Thursday night/Friday morning. You'd think they'd grant him as much time as possible to recover and get himself fit to play.

They would need to be Saturday, Macca having one day and a half after getting back if he played the Saturday I can't see. Thing is we've had some controversial Saturdays acts before and while there isn't a huge following like others for Saturday.....a lot I know similarly to Bruce in 09 wouldn't have gone near either. I think The Cure will get a tv audience though and they have well known songs. I also stand by Liam playing before them. The one is makes me question is Arctics now as 3 times round on the Friday would just be samey.

True but they were slightly big in 2013 (not that they warranted to headline IMO). Plus they probably thought that they had given them more than enough with Beyonce' at the last one
