Yeah, I was watching The Dance the other wee k and thinking that the Buckingham-Nicks relationship was pretty much the fulcrum of their live shows.

To an extent, yes.  But it also came with attendant low quality Buckingham numbers in the setlist.

Nicks and McVie are probably the more integral members from my POV.  I don't think the absence of the Buckster holes them below the waterline.

It’s an odd clip that - firstly hearing Neil Finn stand in for LB for the first time, and the realisation that you can hardly hear John’s bass - in the song in which it probably should be most prominent.

I'm talking purely in terms of performance here, not the songs themselves. Can't imagine their being quite the same level of sad, messy, historically grounded high drama between Nicks and Neil Finn.

Sames, fellow citizen. Somebody told me he did rockabilly so I've spent years ignoring him, but fuck that EotR set was brilliant. He's a future headliner of small/medium sized festivals for sure, so hopefully he'll rise to a Park or even JPT headliner on the next album.

Showed someone at work the footage of Mike Shinoda getting the Reading crowd singing In The End. Couldn't figure out why he was a bit sniffy about it.

Turned out that he'd managed to completely convince himself that Chester Bennington had been up on a child abuse rap, and had hated Linkin Park for years as a result...

He's also in Switzerland the Saturday and Sunday of GF and isn't doing three nights anywhere else on the tour.

I think he's a shoe-in for 2020 myself.
