Is there a reason why people are saying Saturday? big gap in their schedule suggests that  they could do any at this point?

Probably because the festival is planning on putting every act anyone wants to see on at the same time so people are just preparing for the inevitable.

Let this be a cautionary tale of assigning an act to a slot bc you wanted them there.

I actually kept predicting other acts there out of pessimism (Bonobo, Crystal Fighters, Goldfrapp) until they all seemed ruled out and I finally let myself believe it'd be RTJ!

Right lads and lassies, looking like this lot might be my unexpected Saturday night headliner. Can someone suggest a crash course playlist to get my prepared over the next three weeks? Never listened to them before, help brother out

Their album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is a great album I'd start with that.

1901, Lasso, Fences, Armistice and the Love like a sunset tracks are my favs

I've just listened to it (got the new singles on now) and funnily enough it was when Love Like A Sunset Part 1 came on that I picked up my phone to check what the track was called. That definitely hooked me in, think I should be able to jump on this bandwagon

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
