Chic closing WH on Sunday would be unbelievable but sooooo packed at the same time. Their success last time is well known and they're routinely placed on best performances of the festival, especially in modern times. If Ed pulls a pretty impressive 80,000, I can't see BBK pulling more than 20k to be fair, that means there's going to be 60k+ floating around between the other smaller stages and I would bet most of them would be at Chic if it were to happen. I don't know if I can see it happening for that reason - it'd be like a fourth headline slot almost

I'd say the upper limit is about 40/45k, at a real push. By the map the WH section is about 3 times smaller than the Pyramid which can hold up to 100,000 or a little more. It doesn't look like it matters now anyway as I read the Justice thread and it sounds like they're edging closer to headlining WH on Sunday now

I predict a riot

Biffy and Ed following on Bazza and Chic kind of proves contemporary is not all it is cracked up to be. If anyone wanted evidence that the saying 'It was better in my day' has some validity, then there you have it.

First it giveth then it taketh away!

It's just another barren Sunday.

My I don't have to run day. Cos no-one to rush to. Relying on acoustic and park now. Or getting into metronomy between now and then. Where to start please?

Mg favourite album is Nights Out, but English Riviera has the song you're most likely to know from the radio (The Look). Earlier stuff has a few more instrumental jams than the newer stuff.

Not sure about the newest album, it's supposedly a throwback to the early stuff but haven't actually listened to it

Nights Out is album that put them on the radar, but you might recognize more from the next album The English Riviera...they always seem to end their sets with song of their 1st album though called "you could easily have me" which is different again but great bloody tune

Metronomy are very consistent live and are great to watch live, so if you not sure what to do have a listen and check them out - we'll be the one bouncing like lunatics at the back :D

Then you have more recent stuff

According to the booker, and an old licence application, 25k. They've probably had more than that in the field at times though.

I don't think I could have a better running 4 this year myself.
