Alright everyone, apart from boy better know and metronomy does anyone else know who will clash with ed sheeran?, any other stage headliners to see instead?

Justice on West Holts by the sounds of it, and both Laura Marling and The Cinematic Orchestra are confirmed for Sunday, one of which I expect to headline Park.

And also apologies for stirring off subject, but what does everyone reckon the best  line up is this year in terms of festivals  in the UK ,imo I reckon Reading , in terms of  main headliners ( especially including Korn) , but in terms of overall average antagonising acts i'm gonna say Glastonbury

Glastonbury have had two of Readings headliners in the last 3 years, as for the rest there is a Reading lineup in the Glastonbury under card. Reading reminds me of 2015 where I had a load of smaller acts but none of the big headliners interested me but there isn't close to enough this year. Download's shite with a few appealing but Saturday issue now way less. State Champs and SOAD on Friday just aren't worth £100, I'd see Four Year Strong but not arsed and Sum 41 will play their best stuff after SOAD have started so no point.

I'm sorry if this has been covered... but I see The XX are confirmed for Friday on Main Stage here? Can anyone shed some light on where this came from, has Eavis let it slip in an interview? I've looked but can't find it!

Me and my groups main worry was The XX and Foos clashing so to confirm this isn't the case would be great news!

NME posted an article about them, and stated "Meanwhile, The xx will be returning to the UK to perform at Glastonbury Festival – performing before Radiohead on the Pyramid Stage on Friday June 23."

Emily seemed to have provided the NME with some information while also confirming that Biffy is playing before Ed in another different article

That leeds / reading line up is appalling.

14 year old me would have been all over it with Eminem and Korn. Fortunately, that was a VERY long time ago....

(although, I could probably be convinced to go a Korn gig worryingly easily)

Wouldn't call that a worry so much as guilty pleasure. I've heard decent things about them live - though not actually seen them myself.

Yeah to be fair I saw them support Slipknot a couple of years ago and thought they'd be okay for a laugh and nothing more, but they were actually ace and blew Slipknot out of the water. I mean, they're still fucking shite music-wise, but I had a great time pretending they weren't for one night and pretending I was 14 again.

I went to the Birmingham leg of that tour, thought Korn were pretty darn good in their support slot :)

Korn are fantastic live. I don't think their music is a shite as you do, but they're definitely much more enjoyable live than on record.

Can someone tell us where to start with First Aid Kit?

A couple are okay I've listened to but not feeling many others.

Emmylou & My Silver Lining are their two biggest & best imo, so that'd be a good place to start

I saw them when I was 17. They were awesome! But then their albums got shit (or I out grew it...who knows which)...although these comments make me want to get a Sunday Leeds day ticket just for them

We should have a thread for this. Guiltiest live pleasure. Do we already have one?

An excellent idea!!!

Just looking at that Leeds sunday lineup again...it's like someone went inside my life and picked my favourite bands/DJs from 15-25. Got the initial eminiem covered (14-15), followed by Korn (16-19) followed by my two favourite Drum and Bass DJs (20-25). Creepy. And some newer editions...although most of them are/may be confirmed for Glastonbury....

I want Reading to book something that sticks out and says 'money' like it used to, something that separates it from other lineups and not lineups that are scraping £150, for me there is about £125/30 worth max when I consider how important the act is to me and the length of set I will get compared to seeing them normally. Marmozets, Liam and Bear's Den will probably appear at Glastonbury at the Lockup TBA which is apparently LTJ can be seen at Slam Dunk and along with another I would catch for £50.

    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
    • Norwich times if anyone is interested
