WHEN DO YOU THINK TICKET DAY WILL BE

It's not something I'd personally need to worry about, I'd have £50 one way or the other, but it's not just as simple as being £50, we all know people buy in groups and generally who ever gets through buys  6 tickets so that's £300 they either need to have in their account, or they need to get it individually from the 5 other people in advance of T day (or get it put into one account that they all use however gets through) It only takes one person out of the 6 not to have the money then that's at least £100 not £50 one of the group needs to have.

So from the festivals point of view, it's just better to hold all the sales after the 1st so it isn't an issue for anybody and they can continue to shift as many tickets as quickly as possible.

The festival run is the 9th so we (the committee) have checked that it does not clash with ticket day. GF said they are working towards having ticket day on the 2nd.

Hope they stick to this other wise there might be a few non starters :)  As much as I love the festival run and cant wait to get back their in October there is no way Im missing T-day !!

I was in Lisbon last year for T-Day and I was the first and quickest by far of our group to get through, on free public wifi.

So not only a gorgeous city but glorious public wifi

T-Day last year was far too easy. I refreshed the page under 10 times. Paid by 9:02 - confirmation email by 9:06.

Normally it is horrendously stressful. I missed out on the Stones in 2013 as I didnt get a ticket.

This year if T-Day goes badly, I am going to try in the resale. Never done it before.

Can a t-day be too easy?

I remember one where I also was on the page by about 9.02 with confirmation email by ten past.

I almost felt cheated of the adrenaline hit... But then chastised myself for being ridiculous!

First time I tried to get tickets, I refreshed maybe twice and I was on. Booked for 9:02. Couldn't understand all the fuss about getting tickets...then last year it took me 24 very long very stressful minutes and then I must have got some of the last ones. Shitting it for this time already but nothing beats that feeling of getting tickets and also letting all your mates know you've sorted it too!

Jay-Z year was famously easy wasn't it? '08 after the rain soaked mud bath that was '07.

Hoping for the same after this years conditions.

I don't think the rain will make much difference next year unfortunately, the bbc seems to show clear skies and little mud, and a myriad of amzing artists.. And seems to have bought out loads of punters wanting to try Glastonbury once !

From an albeit selfish point of view, just gotta hope all those newbies that are now interested don't get themselves organised for t-day!

Some of the BBC news reports were showing incredibly muddy scenes, hopefully this will help us on t-day.

This year was my eighth and definitely my most exhausting/frustrating/disappointing. Initially, when I got home I thought to myself "I'm done with it all"... But now I feel like I need to go back and give it one more shot.

Trouble is, I'm away in Barcelona from 5th - 9th October so if ticket day falls in that window I'm not going to be able to apply for a ticket...

I'm pretty sure I heard that Barcelona recently got the Internet so you should be able to try.

I'm flying out at 6:10 pm on the Wednesday and fly back at 10:20 am on the Sunday. Coaches are on sale from 7pm and the main sale is from 9am, right?

I'm fucked.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
