I was just looking at that too. If you search for Pilton it looks worse though. Is Shepton Mallet closest?

There's a few Piltons on it

this is the right one, it's fairly similar except a light shower on Thursday. I've always just checked it for Shepton Mallet

Pilton (the correct one) is the best to look for - or the postcode BA4.

But there's about one mile in it, so there would only be a difference in forecasts if there was just an isolated small cloud shower, which is probably not even worth talking about.

I've just been for a walk on my lunch break and after relentless rain for the past few days, including a load this morning, the ground was nowhere near as wet as you'd assume. Granted it hasn't had 150,000 people walking on it, but it seems like the ground will dry fairly quickly considering how much rain we've had.

That ain't too bad at all, you can still see the tor.

Exposure on that cam is set to look good on bright days, it makes clouds look really moody.

Yep, not too bad now. For a while it looked like someone had smeared the lens with vasoline. On the plus side, this rain was predicted by the same weather models that are predicting it to be largely dry from Saturday, so it's not necessarily a bad thing.

The most optimistic view on a downpour I've ever heard. Well done.

When's the next run?

I've only just realised that the image you posted updates every 5 minutes...

Cor the internet eh? Well clever.
