fuck me metcheck has turned to shit esp for the friday....and is that flashes of lightning its simulating on the saturday? also 9.8mm rainfall friday afternoon? id be worried if that amount of rain didnt match with any other forecast model ive seen.....fuck are they getting their info from? http://www.metcheck.com/UK/7days.asp?zipcode=Glastonbury&locationID=57455&lat=51.1&lon=-2.7&findtype=

This is entirely the point. By all admissions im absolutely plastered so i shouldnt be passing judgement on anything let alone the weather. But to me it seems all this el nino malarky has created this incredible uncertainty when it comes to predicting the weather. If people cant be sure about the weather in paris up until the point it occurs, how in gandalfs soggy sandals can people be predicting what will be happenining in pilton in a weeks time?

Que sera sera. Whatever will be will be. We're going to glastonbury. Que sera sera

I'll shut my mouth when you stop moaning about everything, you tedious knobend. Maybe you could start a new thread about it. "Should I ditch my ticket If It's muddy?"

It makes me sad that people like you go to Glastonbury.

Well you can go ahead and be sad.

I assure you I'm a very pleasant person, I'm Just sick of trolls claiming I'm constantly moaning when I'm not.

I simple mentioned I was hoping for sunshine so I could go to Glastonbury and have a great time, that's all. This persons taking this as some kind  of slur on the festival as a whole.

its the quick to judge attitude of people on these boards that's the problem.

You currently have an overall score of -128. That might suggest that most people disagree with you, that you might be the troll and rather than being quick to judge that score has probably developed over some time.

No you didn't. You said you might not go if it rains a lot. Again. When there are threads like the competition  and resale  threads still going and you keep talking about not bothering to go because of the weather or lineup it's frustrating.  Sure, great bands and nice weather make it better most of us on here have a wonderful time at the festival no matter what the weather or scheduled acts. It's practically a utopia where we feel freedom and kinship with other people like no other place.  Since getting tickets is so hard and the festival is so special, to contemplate giving up your ticket without serious external pressures is frustrating, when there are obviously other people who love the place like we do, but are unable to go.

Hope this helps explain the reaction.

    • For those who have been to Roskilde before, what is it like for getting a phone signal? To my disappointment, they won't be showing any football matches anywhere so I'm thinking of taking my laptop and trying to hotspot the match on my phone data.   I've had success with this in the past, but never at such a big festival and I've never been to Denmark so not sure how viable this plan is!
    • This Iron maiden thingo at Knebworth seems like its going to be Blue Light bound, i dont think ive ever known another gig to be so pushed on social media and via email! I've been emailed at least five times a week for the last couple of months.    ive entered the ballot for VIP tickets via blue light, and im sure they're going to email me with a 'hey! you didnt win, but as a special thanks here's some half price tickets, fill yer boots' offer in due course - wish there was a way of seeing how many tickets are sold, itd be fascinating reading
    • Bits was absolutely massive. What was it? Three or four stages plus Soho House plus a beach plus would be people transitioning between the stages plus in the chillout areas.   No way was there only 1,000 people in it. When I saw Sofia Kourtesis there it felt like there were just that number watching here alone.
    • Could well be. My gut feeling is Yungblud to play under Foo Fighters who I'll massively shocked if they aren't there. I think Placebo will also be there. My dream 3rd option is that they get The Cure back after a crazy amount of years but I don't see it. RAR don't booked as versatile as they used to years gone by. There is many that are unlikely to appear again.   The biggest thing I took from this year unless you are grab the fast lane addon pass is accept to stand a lot further back to watch your main stage bands to be able to see all you have interest in. I had to sack off a bit of Social Distortion and Within Temptation completely to get up front for Offspring, Maiden and LP....only just made it for that one.   The downside is for next year, booking from over here you cannot get the ticket an an instant app anymore, its €35 euros shipping. Its a nice ticket don't get me wrong bit £30 just for the card
    • Trev, their manager, has sadly passed away. Very grim. Instrumental in getting them to where they are. Seemed like a good bloke when I met him.    On their social media now
