The ridiculous over the top spectacle is part of it all with Muse though. Also, I agree the price was extortionate, but there's no way it would have been as low as half the price even if there'd been absolutely nothing apart from the three of them and their instruments. I think a lot of people would be disappointed after seeing them on previous tours and then seeing them again on this one if the band had decided to just show up and play the music without all the added bollocks that makes it different.

The show was Brilliant, the setlist was brilliant for first 6 songs and last 4 songs. Inbetween was meh but I was enjoying the view on the barrier.

PiB, hysteria, Stockholm, newborn, Time is running out and citizen erased. Don't be surprised if it's 5 new songs but also some off their previous album, I bet supremacy and survival will make an appearance despite not being used this tour

They will change the set for sure, it will be interesting to see if they do play all 5 new songs though and I hope they play Supremacy as love that song live

Personally, my favourite time seeing them was the gig at Newport Leisure Centre last year which was entirely stripped back.

I was at a date of that tour too and I expected to enjoy it more than the gig at the Etihad the year before but I didn't. Most bands I'd prefer an academy gig, but the big overblown stuff just suits Muse down to the ground for me.

Yeah I got one for that for Manchester. That's about what I expected it to be to begin with really. 70 odd is unbelievable and makes me fear what it's going to cost next time around...

With fees and postage it was more like 80-85. Stupid money.

It's gone mad hasn't it. The 2013 stadium gigs were roughly £55 after fees. That's with Dizzee Rascal as support, who is obviously a big name, as well as Bastille who were just starting to get big too. So how less than 3 years later it can cost so much more, with a shorter set, and much weaker support...it's beyond me. But as long as gigs continue to sell out the more prices will rise I guess....

There's a load of standing tickets around £35 for one of their Glasgow gigs. I know Muse aren't quite as big as they were 6 or 7 years ago but it does seem strange that there's so many cheap tickets going around.

surely they'll stick with Psycho? may not be a great song but everybody seems to agree that it's a fantastic show opener and is much better live. just noticed they opened with Reapers at last nights show, but i think Psycho will get the crowd bouncing far more

I still have no idea how they managed to get that song to last over 5 minutes. Feel like it would be better if they'd made it short and sweet. But yeah, good opener and they're bound to stick with it.

The Manchester Academy one is the best I've seen them. Completely stripped back (but still £45 wtf?)

With Muse I don't care for the over the top bollocks I just want them to play good songs and I feel like at Glastonbury you're going to get neither good songs nor a silly production. Yet I'm still going to see them...

That's where I saw them too and I preferred the stadium/arena gigs personally. I only went the other day cos it sounds like they're clashing with LCD Soundsystem at Glastonbury so I'll definitely have to give them a miss there, so it won't hurt at all missing them now as I'll have seen them just two months previously. I urge you to check out LCD if you haven't already!

I thought the Stadium gigs were great but the arena gigs on that tour really sucked, once again the setlist being the main problem there (that and the vast majority of T2L songs sucked live even more than they sucked on the album). I went to Birmingham and Manchester so it was nice to see Sunburn and Falling Down but other than that there was nothing too great about those gigs other than the usual older semi-staple crowd pleasers Knights/Map/Hysteria/Stockholm etc

I haven't got the train back from The Hydro for a while but when I have done the trains are generally quite busy, think there's a queueing system for them. There's a couple of trains which go to Glasgow Central around 11ish and the train station is only a few minutes walk from The Hydro so as long as you got out early enough you'd be alright. Queen Street is 5-10 minutes walk from Central but part of Queen Street is closed at the moment meaning there are sometimes queues there too, although I don't imagine it'll be too busy at that time.

So basically if the gig finishes around half ten or quarter to 11 you'd probably be ok but any later and it'd be a struggle.

To add to what kingcrawler said, the Manchester gigs finished at half 10, so if Glasgow has the same set times it sounds like you'll be fine.

Got a cheap Muse ticket. Not too bothered about the set list as I want to see the show & a few of the new songs. Will be seeing them do the hits at Glastonbury.

My third trip to the O2 now after Kasabian & that pushed back Blink 182 gig. It looks more like a stadium show.

I looked at a friends video footage today of the same Manchester gig we were at and realised how much we missed by being standing. Didn;t realise there were amazing projections on the stage or that the orbs were multi coloured / completely in unison... standing was great with the atmosphere, but with Muse there is so much to the lights and the show that I missed standing ... ideally would love to see it again from seated / higher up

They're messing with my head again!

I'm now really hoping that the programmers put one of my must-sees against Muse. Having been resolutely against seeing them, remembering time after the how they're no longer 'for me', Child 3 and I put on some tracks tonight. We were talking about what would be amazing opening songs etc. He asked, if you found out they opened with 'this' and you hadn't gone to see them, would you be annoyed?

The track was Hyper Music.

We listened to it bloody loud, heads banging away at all the brilliant riffs. We looked at each other as the bass line kicked in and imagined the whole of Glastonbury bouncing to an amazing opening song. And so, for just one moment, I could see myself there, having the sort of fun I had so many years ago at Muse shows. We talked about them following that immediately with MM and then Showbiz! We talked about them closing with Megalomania. Oh my.

I think they'll put together a festival friendly set for Glastonbury. Sadly I think that will mean that Madness/UD/SMBH and all the others that I just can't really abide anymore will be in there. But I think I'll be somewhere else, very happy....but wondering!

I dunno, they was pretty damn good at Shepherds Bush Empire in the middle of the 2nd law shows, and that was "stripped" back.

(Still brought out the Madness glasses though)
