Gig was decent. Psycho was amazing live as per and after that song I had the "Oh fuck I wanna see them at Glasto" moment. After that it settled into being just decent but was nice to sit and watch the huge spectacle.

Of course they played Bliss; that's its 7th appearance in my 10 Muse gigs, for a song that's supposed to be a rarity.

Feeling Good; why? Fucking tools. What goes through their heads when picking setlists? "Ah what shall we put in this rotation slot tonight? Citizen Erased, Apocalypse Please, Stockholm Syndrome, Sunburn and Plug in Baby have gone down great in the previous shows. Feeling Good? Yep they'll love that one". At least 10 people stood up in my seating block and walked out as soon as the song began. It was shit, as per.

Looked at tonight's setlist when it was maybe 2/3rds complete tonight and saw they had got CE, Stockholm, Plug in Baby and Resistance in the rotation slots (vs our Bliss, MOTP, Hysteria and Feeling Good) which I thought was pretty even. Then saw later on that tonight they replaced Take a Bow with Revolt out of nowhere. Another great decision.

As I say, nice show, but the best thing about it was the stage setup which obviously won't be at Glasto, and I'm happy now to give them a miss.

Must am it the setlist tonight was stronger and I was one of those people who did a loo/bar break during Feeling good lol as really don't like that song...

Still going to watch them at Glastonbury as love them too much to miss them

I definitely feel like we got the stronger setlist

CE and SS are obviously brilliant and PiB is great as well but the other 2 are a bit meh whereas all 4 (excluding Feeling Good) from the first night are some of Muse's finest

Saw them last night, they were good . Hopefully they'll do a 'greatest hits ' set for Glastonbury, did muse do plug in baby tonight? Gutted my favourite track and no sight last night of it

I don't think they have played it at all on this tour as they seem to have other songs on rotation, so I would say chances are low

To be honest I think  the Globalist is the replacement for New Born as follows the same recipe IMO

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 8th vs 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th imo

Assign them all points from 1st = 9 and last = 1 and we come out victors at 25 vs 22. Sad, I know.

I was going to add in that Stockholm Syndrome and Bliss are so good live that they maybe alter the list and go above Take a Bow but TaB was incredible the other night so bun.

No wonder you're getting "a bit bored" of the songs though after your tenth gig. I've seen them 3 times and not for ages so a Glastonbury set is exciting to me. Where as you have a space of a few months to see them again

Friday was my 9th Muse gig in 10 years. Glastonbury will most definitely be my 10th.

Not sure if it was the negativity on here, or the fact I don't listen to them much these days, but I didn't have as much excitement in the build up for this one as usual. I thought my days as a Muse fan were done.

But the gig was fantastic, and a timely reminder of why I used to love them so much. Certainly helped not having seen them since 2013. The show was superb - really pushing music as a live spectacle. The 'In the Round' stage meant pretty much everyone was close to the action. Setlist was as expected really - Reapers and The Globalist being the standouts from the new stuff. No Stockholm was my only downer.

I know it will be a completely different show, but very much looking forward to Glastonbury now!

Glad to see some positivity and yep me and the fella looking forward to jumping around like loons and singing badly to Muse  We were in seating at MEN and there is only so much space you can jump around in and was trying not to spill beer on the older couple in front of me who sat down all the way through the gig!

At the grand old age of 28, it takes a lot to get me jumping about at a gig these days ha. But once that Knights riff kicked in, I was bouncing about like it was 2006!

I was at the same Manchester gig on Friday night and I have to say the production was incredible. Ticket prices were high, as they always seem to be these days, but I don't mind when you can clearly see so much effort and money has gone into the show. As someone else said, playing in the centre of the arena meant everyone got a good view too.

That said, I was still left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the gig on the whole. I don't mind the new album as much as most on here, but found myself daydreaming during parts of those songs, only woken up again by 'Ooh look at those lights!' or 'Wow a big inflatable is moving!'. As I said the production was incredible, but it almost felt too much at times, like a parody of a Muse gig.

As others have said, the show and production will need vast changes to work at festivals. Combining that with how I felt leaving after the gig, I'll be elsewhere on Friday night at Glastonbury.

I agree! My one night shift gives my liver a rest as we arrive on the Saturday before the festival starts!

I went on Friday and I was a bit underwhelmed.  

Visually the show was stunning and the band sounded as tight as ever.

Don't think the new stuff was that bad but it did miss a few of the big numbers. The set has a lot of strange moments of nothing really happening. Also it seems to be between 20 and 2 songs which seems quite short for a band with that back catalogue.

Birmingham looked to be the best setlist but generally they're shite!, even leaving Plug In Baby out of some shows. Defo be elsewhere then I reckon....maybe go and see Billy Bragg at Leftfield.

I'd consider going to their shows it they cut out all the light show nonsense, halfed the price of tickets, and played more of their older stuff. Their gig at Shepherds Bush for Warchild with them concentrating on just playing without all the distracting stuff was actually quite good. Many seem to think as its a show rather than for just the music it justifies the price. I don't really get it myself.

Yes because most bands mentality is to spend 6-10 months recording a new album then go out and not play it but instead play songs from 10-15 years ago that they have LITERALLY played 100s or 1000s of times before.

They must find that so rewarding.

Personally i'm cool with them playing their new stuff (well some of it) but come on Muse, you can't not be playing Plug in Baby at Glastonbury!
