It has been mentioned elsewhere but he played a few big outdoor dates around Glasto this year and didn't play. So I wouldn't get too excited without any further info.

as much as I would love to finally see Elton I doubt he will play Glastonbury.

If he does, I bet as others have said he would demand to be the headliner.

He has every right to demand a headline slot. He's the second biggest selling British artist of all time. I don't think ego comes into it.

I'd be happy with Elton - Although "Captain Fantastic" is probably older than most of the people there and is still one of his better albums.

Agreed He'd probably want the headline slot but on Sunday afternoon he would be the perfect sing-along artist....

To be fair to other animal outfit retailers, assuming Elton played Sunday (because he would, legend slot or headliner) I would go as a warthog as that is the animal I most closely resemble by that day.

There has been a trend for playing classic albums in their entirity recently so lion king sound track in full wouldn't be out of the question..

I would LOVE to see Elton headline, would be an amazing sing-a-long to close the Sunday night. Adele or Ellie Goulding subbing would go well imo. (I know Adele could easily headline but I reckon she could work better as a sub)

Throw in a Candle in the Wind, Saturday (Saturday Saturday Saturday etc) and a I'm Still Standing or two and tickets would be so easy to buy in 2017 because everyone would know that set could not be topped.
