Loaded said that Muse would be announced in April, I believe, so we'll pretty much know our lot in two weeks whether it be Radiohead or Adele, right?

UNLESS the Muse not headlining stuff is still the case, but yeah, that seems unlikely and if Adele is our Saturday headliner it's looking pretty nailed on for Muse to be the other :(

it's been said to us this morning that the announcement in 2 weeks is definitely Adele ... and while that might well be true, I'm viewing it with

Don't suppose your Radiohead contact would have any more new information if things are now rapidly moving towards regular announcements?

I'd rather eat out of the long drops than hear Adele sing songs for two hours about her ex boyfriend.

Radiohead's setlist would probably look a bit different if nothing was inspired by exes...

Maybe...

I dunno actually. Just wanna retire the "moaning about ex boyfriend" qualms.

Until recently, they'd all stayed with the same partners since the band started up pretty much. Probably the last Radiohead album which had songs about exes was The Bends (and even then, not many).

That said, I know the Adele thing is an exaggeration. But she is just so, so, so dull. The female version of Sam Smith.

Are we back on as Muse playing this mystery non-headline slot? If it really is Adele, then we can chalk Emily's statement yesterday as fresh out of the Eavis bullshit factory. Why would you refer to Adele as a band?

in general, people talk about "bands" and not "acts". That's just how it is. It's the default.

It might have been a deliberate choice by Emily to say "bands", but it would be a mistake to believe she definitely meant only bands and not solo acts within that.

Guys, just because Radiohead probably aren't headlining, doesn't mean they aren't going to be there. I still think they'll turn up and do a secret set somewhere

The council had big issues with the Park Stage gig. Unless they did a secret gig on Other or Pyramid, they won't play. And even then, I can't see them doing it again. Thom will probably DJ in Shangri La or something.

I asked him/her to get back to me with more if (s?)he heard more. I've heard nothing more.

As I've heard nothing more, I can make something up for you if you like? :P

    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
    • I've never felt it takes that long but I'm quite a fast walker 😂
