I'm hearing more of the same from other directions now, so either those 'two sources' mentioned on the RH forums have been blabbing left right and centre or there's people going around repeating the same stuff and claiming it as their own.

Either that or an announcment is incoming soon...

Or we could be close to a poster release and radiohead are on it so it's more widely known?

if Emily's 'couple of weeks' thing was right then we're about a week or less away from the big poster reveal, so definitely possible that something's finally leaked out

Yes please! Although thinking about it, maybe not! Spectre on it's own would be so special!

Skyfall is the only Adele song I have heard and I do rate it as a Bond song. Love a good Bond song.

All we need is for Sean Connery to pop his clogs and every act would have to do a Bond cover in tribute.

Well, it's very possible that the Adele sub rumours are just stemming from the thousands of posts speculating that this would happen since early March or whatever.

The point we're at now is that it keeps going round in circles with nothing particularly more solid to read upon, just more of what it started out as. Looking forward to the speculation ending one way or another.

Exactly this.

Thankfully there's not long to wait now :)

I am unable to just post a post! The forum insists on me quoting Swedge again for some reason!

Jparx, I love that song! Aha can do no wrong in my book!

Swedge, to see all those cover versions, that would be quite a 'Spectre'acle...!

Getting to see Macca do Live and Let Die on the Pyramid stage, (one of my favourite songs of all time, it's so well produced!), was fantastic. And Dame Bassey doing her ones in wellies was great too!

Could never happen but would love a Bond music festival where all the acts who have made Bond songs performed. There have been some stormers over the years! Suddenly decided to do a massive Bond rewatch now in the lead up to Glastonbury. What a perfect way to help with the wait!

I asked the guy for some extra info, seems to fit in with the Adele story..

"Oddly one of the sources told me they would likely be an Adele "special guest" but I don't know about that. Seems an odd place for them. Other than that, all I've been told is that they will be there somewhere.

Someone else (not one of the two sources) told me that there was a problem with Radiohead's secret set last time that could prevent them from doing it in the same way again. Does anyone know anything about this? Was it that it attracted too big a crowd? I dunno. This person could be wrong. If they're right though, the Adele claim might have more weight to it."

This almost sounds like the guy has just been reading efestivals...

an Adele special guest seems like a guest during her set, which obviously isn't going to happen. maybe that person just read the clashfinder, saw "Special Guests" before Adele, and has decided that's going to be Radiohead.

Time for a bond theme list?

yeah it does sound a lot like what has been discussed on the last 200 pages of this thread...

Perhaps we were just right all along, and now the news is starting to leak out? :P

FFS you lot have even got me searching the corners of the internet now to see if there is any news of this happening, and I'm not even a fan (willing to be converted, of course). Having seen this thread EVERYDAY for God knows how long I'm likely to go bloody see them now (if they do play) just to see what all the fuss is about!

why would radiohead play before adele?

It's been discussed before on here but the most realistic theory seems to be they were booked as a sub with the option of topping the bill should Adele have decided she wasn't up for it.

Perhaps it was a happy medium with Radiohead's seeming reluctance to headline the Pyramid and the chances of them doing a Park type 'secret' set now being a health and safety no-go.

because Adele is the biggest act in the world ... and they're a bunch of has-beens (no offence meant) with a shrinking fanbase?

Cos that's the facts of things.

It would take big egos to refuse to play befo0re her.

Surely 'has-beens' would indicate they are still riding past glories? Which clearly doesn't apply to Radiohead because their latest is number 1 in the charts and received almost universal acclaim :P

    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
    • Seems like the most obvious choice. Surprised they havent played since 2019 either.
    • My review of All Together Now 26, it was a whopper. https://niallmcquaid.wordpress.com/2026/08/06/all-together-now-2026-festival-review/
    • Yep it was on my list, id have loved to have gone.
    • Am a relative amateur in the ticket/tech shenanigans and not part of a large group etc. but personally preferred the F5 bashing approach and got through twice in recent yrs (plenty when didn't, mind) - 2023 but it crashed on me at the final hurdle and then again in 2024 where I held my nerve when it crashed again and managed to get.  Think now I am committed to volunteering if doing festivals as that's close to my heart, so happy to help others when the time comes round.   The most impressive I've seen was bus sales in 2022 when 2 mates casually bagged tickets while in San Sebastian, on a phone inside the stadium during a Real Sociedad v Man Utd game!
