Radiohead touring in 2016

I've stumbled onto to this highly important poll on the metro newspaper. Can this be legally binding in any way?

I admit that the fact that the paper can't even get the wording right on the poll makes it a little dubious

Radiohead subbing New Order. Good grief!!!

I can see an argument for them subbing Adele, based on current sales etc... but then if it's all about ONLY whats current then the Stone would have been a 2pm. There are acts whos influence and critical reputation does mean more than streams on spotify!

There is no other festival in the world that would have them anything less than headline, and although Adele is the rumour they are competing against (by the sounds of it), I can't see any reason they would do anything but headlinde Glastonbury either to be honest. 

Yes, I know they did the Park, but I think we can all agree that ain't happening again.

If, as with all things festival, and the artists in question were potentially in talks about performing at Glastonbury well in advance, probably before Christmas then you would not be talking about Adele being the biggest act in the world, that has come into sharp focus with sales of her new album that was released when...?

If both Radiohead and Adele were being offered slots in late 2015 then I think it would be Radiohead offered the headline slot as opposed to Adele.

I know it's not quite the same due to the sheer scale of Adele's all conquering commercialism but quite often bands are offered lowly slots and events (mainly hype and sales) overtake them and the booking looks a bit weird in retrospect.

nah, Adele was the biggest act in the world back in 2011 when she released her last album, went away for a bit, and now is the biggest act all over again. Radiohead are big but are also quite niche, and so between the two, Adele is always gonna win

Radiohead are a huge band for sure, but in terms of current relevance and current appeal (which is what matters on the Pyramid stage), I wouldn't say they are significantly ahead of The Libertines and Pharrell, who both sub headlined last year. I'd rather them headline, but if both Adele and Radiohead are playing the festival, Radiohead will be the sub headliners. 

This would be much more straightforward if we didn't seem to have New Order locked in for Other stage headliner against Adele.

I'm not saying they are. I'm just saying in reference to the idea that Adele would sub Radiohead. 

Although I'm sure Muse and Coldplay's latest records will have sold much better than RH's new'un. As heinous as that is.

Radiohead's status as one of the all time greats of rock music is hard to dispute - at least as far as the interweb evidence goes

www.besteveralbums.com which aggregates all the various best of polls puts them at 1 and 6 for all time best albums (OK Computer and Kid A respectively) and 1 and 3 for best albums of the 2000's (Kid A and In Rainbows)

as far as being current, well they have a new album coming out the same year, which is more than you can say for many other previous Pyramid headline 'legends'
