I don't think the Pyramid field has looked so pretty since.

I've told it before but a tiny bit of my brain went 'pop' that night (in a good way) and rendered me speechless for a few hours.  Which led my friends to wonder if I was possibly having some sort of episode. :D  I wasn't, I was just very, very happy.  Anyway it started with that song.

I just clicked the link, ye gods! it's the worst one yet.

What makes you dance; establishing whether there is a link between consumer behaviour and motives a consumer has when choosing to attend an outdoor music event.

Drugs used to make me dance and I know there is a massive link between big fishes, little fishes, carboard boxes and drugs.

These dissertations seem a right hoot. Not sure how I could have done a questionnaire on the modelling and analysis of a photovoltaic water pumping system though.

And weird fishes.

If I could have picked one moment in history to have witnessed - it would have been Radiohead's 2003 Headline set.

Not 1997? Everyone (including the band and Michael Eavis) seems to rave about that one whereas 2003 only seems preferred by the peeps that didn't go in 1997.

Did anyone go to both? Which was better?

russy says he preferred 2003 (but then he also said that Flaming Lips who were on before them were better... so not sure whether to believe that one)

i love watching the 2003 performance, but the fact that they were touring a weak-er album probably doesn't do it any favours

Did Russy go in '97? I just figured he didn't and that's why he bigs up 2003. He probably saw Kula Shaker instead.

Not sure about the band saying that; From what I've seen Thom seems to be pretty negative about it  as he was so burned out at that stage, like saying 'I was finished when we did Glastonbury and then a year and half later we were still going'

I'm all for HTTT so 2003 has an edge for me - in my opinion they have more good material to showcase in '03, with 6 albums, rather than 3

yeah 2003 didn't include any Pablo Honey material but did have Kid A material so it definitely wins in that respect

Was that not because they struggled to motivate themselves after doing that show? Anyway I thought it was Ed or Colin that said about Glastonbury being their favourite show but I can't find anything now so I might have imagined it.

Hmm, hadn't thought about that.

The Sausage by Baldhead Growler?  He's maybe more of a West Holts act.

I'm listening to this now and it's quite a track however if a sausage was 'good' then surely it wouldn't be 'hard like a piece of wood'. That'd be a bad sausage and I'd take it back to the butchers.

As the titulular sausage is part of Growler's "heritage", it's presumably more of a family heirloom than a shop-bought item, and thus long exceeded its return by date.

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
