PHONES? How young do you think I am?  I was out of university before I got my first mobile and that only texted in block capitals and had a battery life of a couple of hours.

no idea, but i've had a mobile phone for over 25 years, so while that statement couldn't apply to me it's good for almost everyone under 40. :P

Ben was really friendly at the efestivals meet

Intact everyone was really friendly... Even gazza!!

Getting more gutted that I missed it to be honest. I blame the gate D people, shame on you all! Also, my reluctance to get a trolley and instead carry my booze in using holdalls which burned my hands off, shame!

Dear All

I am not dead.

I am not a Glastonbury virgin.

I am writing.

There is a lot to write.

I am at work.

I will post the epistle at the earliest possible opportunity.

I have one thing to say, as a preface.

Oh My F***ing God.

Ben

The shortest post ever... Oh My F***ing God... my reaction after me second Glastonbury this year... we've all

MISSED YOU!!!

Awww...thanks, Brunette!

Listen, folks, I wasn't gonna make a big deal about this, but here's how it is:

I only ever go to one festival a year.

In the lead up to 'it', I become entirely, unhealthily excited and obsessed with that festival's forum.

I spend ridiculous amounts of time reading, and writing on, it.

I LOVE that anticipation.

After 'my' festival, I tend to do the polar opposite.

Partly as I hate the idea that 'my' festival is now so far away.

Partly to reclaim my life and concentrate on all the other things I've neglected.

A Ben-Forum-Hibernation, if you will.

I'm lurking here only very occasionally, but essentially keeping away.

Not because I don't love you, but because I love you too much.

In pretty much all aspects of my life I'm a 100% or 0% person.

I fully intend to go to Glastonbury 2016.

In the lead up to Ticket Day, you will become as sick of me as before, as I emerge from the chrysalis.

Someone else can be the smart-arse tit for a bit.

The festival has affected me very deeply. You know by now how much being at a festival means to me and my general mental well-being. I was not prepared for what I was to encounter.

It took me the best part of 10 days to assimilate exactly what I had experienced.

Glastonbury is, truly, like nowhere on Earth and I long to be back there.

Later, tater

Ben

July-September are the golden months, when we're free of those annoying sorts who want to discuss Glastonbury festival. We'll know it's truly begun when the Nick Cave thread ceremonially take up its place on page 1, and stays there until ticket day.
