Biggest crowd 2015

Everyone wants to see Lionel. Similarly I think most people would happily watch Foos.

The Who, whilst legends, aren't the same live as they used to be and I think a lot of people (me included) will probably give them a miss.

The Pyramids of SNAFU

You will marvel!

It's so hard to call until we know for certain who the headliners are up against. It would be the who but given they are up against the Chems and the reaction to them has been a little underwhelming it's hard to say!

Weller > 85,000

Which will quickly dwindle to just 85 people when the crowd realise he doesn't play any of his / The Jam's hits and instead just churns out rubbish from his most recent solo albums, that nobody wants to hear at all.

Foo Fighters > 100,000

The Who > 100,000

Kanye > 90,000

FATM > 80,000

Weller > 85,000

Pharrel > 70,000

Lionel > 85,000

Nah. Foo Fighters and The Who won't have as big a crowd as The Stones. Those are all hugely inflated, it's rare acts get crowds as big as that. That's ignoring saying 70,000 will be at Pharrell..

I can't see any act pulling in the numbers for The Stones or Dolly.

I'll only see Lionel if there's nothing else on, and quite likely won't bother even then. But, I'll definitely be at Kanye and I'm 37 so not really a yoof.

I won't be at any of that by choice, possibly Weller: but the lack of Jam, Stanley Road, Wild Wood or Style Council does put me off. It will depend on clashes.

Everyone else in my group wants to see Lionel, I'm not bothered. I will probably get dragged along

Weller will get a massive crowd, he's got a a lot of old time fans that have followed his stuff for years and years, as well as the mass appeal of people who will be there for both him and The Who

If it is Rudimental headlining the other on the Friday, then there's no question Foos will have the biggest crowd of the weekend

As much as everyone is hating on Kanye being there, I think he will draw a massive crowd. Most of the people complaining and signing petitions didn't even have tickets.

I know a few people who are on the fence and want to see Kanye just to see what he will pull out of the bag.

But unlike Paul Simon he won't avoid playing all his biggest songs because he's still having a hissy.

True - but I think Graceland - and S&G in general - are more affectionately thought of than Can't Slow Down, so the latter is less likely to galvanise the masses in the first place.

I'm convinced it'll be huge. I'm also patenting a Lionel drinking game where anytime you see someone with a Lionel t-shirt saying 'Hello, Is it me you're looking for' you have to neck your drink.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
    • Yup and they aren't all going to get them, some are going to miss out. Speaking of this, I met someone at RIP who went to RFP and his view was band wise it's value for money but it wasn't a festival itself he'd be rushing to return to. In fairness as well he probably liked more of the headliners there than me this year whereas I was more undercard and he wasn't returning.
    • Maybe Starmer's legacy will be a war with Russia.
    • How were GnR? Seen some videos and pictures and let's just say, the crowd to the sides at the front and in front of the sound tents were let's just say... Sparse compared to LB.
