Biggest crowd 2015

I think the thing is, after the experience of crowds at previous "legend" slots, some of us would be more likely to stay away than bother fighting through the scrum to see what is often little more than a half assed novelty. I now use the peace and quiet of that time elsewhere on site to grab a shower with no queue in the greenpeace field to freshen me up for the last night and journey home (purely for the benefit of my fellow passengers, I can get a proper peng on after a few days).

As an aside:

Who do you will think will get the biggest efesters crowd?

I would have said Hot Chip, but their clash with Foos and probably SFA means it will be lower

Don't think it'll be a headliner, too many clashes. There's been a lot of support for PSB in the Glade, if they have a slot that doesn't clash they could get a lot of efesters.

Could be something earlier one day.... Motörhead?

That's a good idea, I might give it a go*.

*I'm aware of the weird connotations of saying I'm going to be turning up for a shower at the same time as somebody else, please be assured that I'm going to perfectly innocently turn up, have a shower while keeping myself to myself, and then leave.

Bah, thought my luck was in :P

Seriously though, it's cracking, it's usually the warmest part of the day, I come out in my shorts, sit in the greenpeace field with a spliff and airdry in the sun before getting properly dressed, feeling better than I've felt for days, loads of energy for my last night and not stinking like a railroad hobo for the journey home.

As for the biggest efests set, Run the Jewels surely? It is going to be going off.

PSB have a Kanye, Mothership and Leftfield clash.

Annoying as I was going to be there, but I will be watching Leftfield

People need their head testing if the go the see that atmosphere vacuum, he looks dull as dishwater live.

Btw dollys crowd was def bigger than the stones, at the stones you could move around the extended part of the field at the back, dolly was packed everywhere apart from the walkways. It felt like the full festival was watching dolly

Not me, I was up for it originally but found myself sat on a bench treating myself to a terrible mashup of Sam Smith and Adrian Sherwood thinking that my feet were in such bad shape that I would be stuck there until Monday. Luckily a couple of ciders and an emotional performance of Your Love by the horrors put me back on the straight and narrow.

I can't really take the big crowds for the Sunday Legends, during Paul Simon I couldn't handle it any more so went to sit in Shangri La and chill out with a few cocktails before getting into an unexpected tomato fight in the Common which turned out to be a highlight of the day.

Ouch. Was really hoping that they'd avoid the 10pm Saturday free for all. It's bad enough having Kanye, Mothership, Suede & Leftfield all clashing (I'll be at Suede). Really wanted to see PSB in the Glade but they won't win that fight.

Peng is slang for good/good looking in many circles, I'm certainly never peng on my way back from Glastonbury.

Yeah? It means stink round my way (usually referring to plant matter, rather than people, used in this context for mild comedy value for those who know the reference). Interesting to know it has other meanings elsewhere.

Works particularly well if used in conjunction with ting - She's a peng ting/painting

    • Was volunteering at the Women’s Cricket World Cup at Southampton yesterday. Was great fun.
    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
