most annoying camping neighbour

We had a group of girls that didn't seem to remember what festival they were at. One girl would sing Killswitch Engage songs all night long and at about 5 AM on the sunday morning we were all woken by her friend screaming "OHHHH SHE'S PISSING, NO MEGAN, NOT THERE! WHY DON'T YOU LISTEN!' - we didn't really want to know what was going on!

That could well have been the group camped next to us (Bushy ground?). They turfed up with a brand new humongous tent, which they all kipped in so fair play. All I remember is them sitting outside it under a massive gazebo chatting every single time I was at the tent, including 10pm Friday night when I nipped back to the tent for more supplies.

All that didn't annoy me, each to their own I suppose. What did annoy me is the state they left their campsite in on Monday morning. I was up around 10ish and by that time they'd already done one, leaving behind the brand new tent, air beds, trolleys, loads of camping equipment. I hope someone salvaged some of it, the tent alone must have been a good monkey on it's own.

When I went over to complain I noticed it was actually Joe Strummer and Mick Jones. That made me even more annoyed.

I properly tore a strip off them and after a brief struggle I even managed to chuck one of their guitars on the fire.

Not a peep out of them for the rest of the weekend

There was a big group next to us last year, 20+ of 18yo lads all from Milfield and typical private school rugby lads. Kept chanting XXXXX gives us a wave. The XXXXX refers to a brief description of whoever was waking past at the time but after 5hrs they moved on to inanimate objects. It was funny for the first 24hrs but it grew tiresome espically at 7am. Still all in the spirit of things.

These are worth a 'plug' for those that have noisy neighbours. My old flat was below a place that was regularly let to students and they used to drive me mental. Buying these made my life so much happier!! They're 1000 x better than the foam alternatives, genuine noise reduction from them.

The family next too us was hell they had two small children and kept putting there dirty nappies next to our tent "the smell was hell" as 2010 the weather was ace,,,but those nappies was cooking,really, had to say something to them.....

These are excellent - I have used them for a few years. Nice and comfortable and block out most noise

The only neighbours I've been annoyed by were a group of 5, who were sitting on camp chairs chatting and drinking every single time I went to my tent. Looked like they didn't leave their camp all festival (I expect they did, but just seemed that way). Each to their own and all that, but get out there and see something! Otherwise you may as well just book a campsite and save the ticket price!

On the plus side; having neighbours who rarely leave their camp is good security for you

We have had large camps in the past.. where there always seemed to be SOMEONE back at the site having a drink and/or smoke... very handy for getting directions for where other friends have gone, when they were last back at the camp etc.

I can vouch for them as well. It pretty much cancels out all noise so makes sleeping a hell of a lot easier!
