looks like something beginning in the Arcadia field?

Normally tents there, so either big changes or they're just laying something out there.

The noticeboard seems to have been half-inched 😯

Local constabulary are searching @Ayrshire Christent at this very moment......

I had second thoughts and gave it back. But just wait until they go to look for the G off the Glastonbury sign😊😉

This looks like a speaker stand for Arcadia, but in a very different place to last year's festival?

You wouldn’t start the build with a speaker stand, they would normally be one of the last things to go in.

Looks like they are building another one a bit along.  I think it is, just, across the pathway from where the Park Home camping usually ends.  So if it is the start of Arcadia it could be a much bigger area than the previous circle around the Spider or Pangea

It needs to be as well, sound outside of the speaker circle is shocking and getting in there is nigh on impossible in my experience at peak times. Increasing the size of that 'inner circle' is long overdue.

Isn't the fact that you can't hear much outside the inner speaker circle the actual design and the only thing that lets it be a late night outside venue in that part of the site?

I think so yes, but making it a little bigger should still keep the sound contained I think (I'm no sound engineer but I'd imagine it would).

I remember the sound for Pangea being much better than I’ve ever thought the Spider was, I’m sure someone here can answer but did they do different things with the speakers that year?

I know nothing at all about installing festival stages, much less Arcadia, but last year they built all of the the speaker stands first:

I don't think its position has changed enough to invert that field completely, but something is going to have to change with the camping.

Looks to me like it's moving about this much:

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
