What are the two things to the left of the phoenix in the stone circle field? Is that just the camera making it look like something is there that isn't?

The spider is definitely further right this year and they've move the bar right to the back where a lot of the Arcadia crew seemed to camp last year. I assume all the people camping in the spot the bar is this year will camp in the empty triangle? I'd keep an eye on the webcam to see if the current triangle bit fills up in next few days.

The light is not so good today but it looks like they might have fenced it up now - crew camping maybe?

What are the red frames for? I don't remember seeing them before but I usually only make it up to the stone circle when I'm already pretty worse for wear!

Would hazard a guess they are the supports to hold a tightrope/beam in place as part of the opening ceremony performance/fire show

think they are EV's

I walked past about 10 by Red Barn on Saturday, they were EV's.  A couple were plugged in

That soundtrack sounds very much in the style of Public Service Broadcasting.

Its the Chems. Spoken word is (presumably) Nye Bevan or someone else from that Lab government post-war?

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
