Its positioning has to mean it was intentionally set out to be seen by the webcam. It's pointing straight at it and just fits between where the sound stages where and those trees to the left. Any further and it would have been obscured.

Hard to distinguish on the webcam, but is that a stockpile of wood on the track between the logo and Pyramid stage? Potential burning of a witch later?

They've had a big bonfire there for the last few years.

it was there last night too. It's either for a photo from overhead of the painting, or to suspend someone to get a view of it.

A crane??? Surely a drone off of ebay would of been fine? That's about 100000 artists fees for hiring a crane!

Another e-festivals mention on the nme article about it. They must have someone just browsing on here each day..

This is obviously the best place for Glastonbury rumours/breaking news, so it would make sense for them to have someone browsing.

Perhaps one of the regulars here works for them on the down low :o

with their usual non-accuracy, I see.

That fuck those morons don't do anything useful. With such crap attention to detail they'd kill us all in minutes.

There must be some truth in what the Eavis have said about having the headliners booked so far in advance for them to be able to announce this early right?

They (or at least Michael) mentioned the headliners have been booked long before Emily and Radiohead both separately implied the deal wasn't done.

stuff i've heard has suggests that Radiohead were in place for next year before Michael gave that Oxford talk in May where he mentioned them. I suspect that them recently being sorted was what had him mention them.

    • I saw this just after it was posted yesterday, I barely paid attention to it. I didn't realise it had blown up in the way it has. I'm sure (kind of) that Sziget will be unaffected - it brings in billions of huf over a very short period. Its consumption, compared to the rest of Budapest, will be tiny in reality. That said, nothing wrong with encouraging people to use less energy whether it's now or in the future.
    • The eulogies are flooding in.   The list I've seen so far is Jenrick,  Hartley-Brewer, Hopkins, Lowe, Pearson   Tells you all you need to know about him...
