I want a bonnet with beer in @eastynh !

I'd look very pretty while getting pissed at the festival.

:-)

LOL auto correct on my phone. I should not have changed it as Beer in a bonnet is far more preferable :-)

So many people clutch at straws when it comes to headline rumours but I have to admit these ones are the best I've read :D

Lets face it, Adele is one of the biggest acts that any festival would want headlining right now. Suggesting she should sub is madness - whether you like her or not there is absolutely no denying her status at the moment.

I'm a big New Order fan so if Adele headlines I really won't lose any sleep over it.

It's just a case of trying to figure out how Radiohead and Adele both fit into the equation since it seems that both are likely to be there. It seems unlikely (although still possible) that Radiohead will play a secret set again so if they play you'd think they'd be announced before hand. That's why I think they could play before Adele but with a longer set than usual for a sub, or its a co-headline deal.

Tbh I'd rather see them headline the Other stage but I can't see that happening at all.

weird reading people saying that now Muse have been announced, Radiohead won't headline.

we've known for ages that Muse are almost certainly playing, and despite a daft notion of them subbing, anyone with sense knew they'd be headlining if they were there.

Radiohead headlining was seemingly based on the idea of Adele not headlining, and more likely, her just deciding not to do it at all.

nothing much has changed in that regard.

It has, then three heading is very unlikely, it doesn't give a lot of variation on the lineup at all.

I think it's more that hope for Radiohead dwindles with every big annoucement that they aren't anything to do with

They weren't necessarily anything to do with the headliners anyway, that isn't the specific information. Provided its Adele then the three they went for came through, I'd hazard a guess that Radiohead wouldn't accept a lower spot, especially on a stage they have kept away from when performing since.

Never going to be Radiohead now, Adele is nailed on.

I don't think it could possibly be

Muse, Radiohead, Coldplay.

Its (now) the Glastonbury way to have at least one curveball headliner or somebody a bit controversial, it keeps them in the headlines and keeps the interest up, it's also about breaking down perceptions and supposed barriers. Muse, Radiohead and Coldplay are white male rock bands, Glastonbury will have gone full circle and become a parody of itself.

I've been thinking the same. Three white male rock bands, and all big on the falsetto vocals. Whilst, they don't actually sound that similar to each other at all really, they have all been accused of that in the past - or rather Coldplay and Muse have been accused of sounding like Radiohead. So ye, it would seem strange for a festival that likes to mix it up so much - especially as all three of them have headlined multiple times previously.

But I'd be surprised if Radiohead played another secret set again - so all in all, I'm just confused.

Radiohead openly chose to avoid doing UK festivals in 2012 despite a pretty extensive tour of European & Worldwide festival dates in favour of playing some arena shows. It seems they prefer to do festivals in countries where arena shows are less lucrative (apart from the USA, but most US festivals seem to have crazy budgets anyway.)

The simple & logical explanation is that they don't. It will be one or the other, not both.

Well the info Neil has suggests both. And Neil said all along that his Radiohead info didn't specifically state they were headlining, so there's definitely a chance both will appear. It's entirely possible the Radiohead info will turn out to be inaccurate, but until we know that for sure it's completely fair and valid to try and speculate how both of the acts could fit on the bill.

Radiohead would be good, far better than the VERY DULL Coldplay and Muse, not much of a choice really, been there , seen it all before, so boring. Adel.....I bloody hope not, yes shes popular, but so morbid, bit of a female Morrissey...Yawn Zzzzzzzzzzz

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
