Shed Seven is the weirdest band name ever. Did they all used to hang out in a fucking shed or something? Just odd.

They used to claim in interviews that it was because the drummer lost his virginity in a shed when he was seven, although I think it was later claimed that one of the band saw a maintenance/storage building at a train station called Shed 7 and found it amusing.

Wow what a difference a year makes only 500 pages by end of Feb this year compared to the behemoth that was this tread last year...........

Just had a look at last year's thread. Guess what date it reached page 500?

Rick Witter is a regular in my restaurant. I'll ask him next time he pops in.

Announcements - do they all tend be to done first thing in the morning?

In addition to this do the official Glasto Twitter and Facebook pages usually say that an announcement is imminent or is it a case of someone drops the bomb unannounced.

Unless a leg break results in Roses stepping in and then I'm all for it (not that I would wish any pain upon anybody of course!! I understand this wont happen but one can dream)

Speaking of which, I believe it is one week today that we may be hearing something new B)

Also! Does if EE said with two weeks and in one week Roses drop new material does this = Roses at Glastonbury

(dont remind me about the Adele/Muse/Radiohead rumours and let me have my moment!)

Nah, pretty sure Kanye was announced in the evening last year. And the main lineup announcement was too if I remember correctly...

Announcements have come morning, noon and night in the past.

Although I think we're now past there being anything today. Not even Glastonbury would announce on a Friday evening.

Well I know for a fact something is coming in March, and rumours pretty much everywhere suggest a single is coming 4th March (though I've not heard this personally). Still can't see them playing Glasto though.

If one of the rumored headliners (adele, coldplay and muse) were to break a leg and have to be replaced which would you choose?

are you offering the chance to break the legs of all of Coldplay, and not just Chris Martin?

Cos I'm wondering is that's a fair offer against just one Adele.

:D

Probability for the headliner to be announced will likely be:

Adele 60%
Muse 35%
Radiohead 4%
Anyone else 1%

Sadly realistic.  Holding out hope for Radiohead though.

Adele would put up a better fight.

Heres that Chris Martin interview from the other day if people haven't seen it.

1:20 Is where hes asked about Glastonbury, watch the little bit before hand though where they are talking about Adele and it leads into the Glastonbury bit as if Chris knows she's playing.

    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
