I'm going to guess at

System Of A Down

Biffy Clyro

Black Sabbath

and in 2017:

Bring Me The Horizon

Metallica

Guns n Roses - Classic line up reunion

I think you'll be right with two out of 3 of your next years one's, I can see Blink though, which will ironically be 2005 headliners that were supposed to happen.

2017, I think you'll have two stabled down as well, I was just thinking, 5 years gap at Download for Metallica is mad lol. GNR I think you may just be hoping, I'm not sure Axl will agree to it but if it happened, I think Download would need to put up some big money to fend off Stadium offers. In fact, Andy would probably have to just agree to let them do what dates they wanted just to get them on the bill, at least they won't be demanding their name off the shirt and their own stage.

I've been watching some more footage of Blink 182 with Matt Skiba, and after initially being against it (I'm a Tom fanboy :P), I actually think he is great for the band. He seems to fit in really well and can play and sing better than Tom could in recent years. It's nice to hear some older Blink songs too getting played just as well as they were back in the day. If they get an album out with Skiba by next year, I think they would be a great headliner.

It looks like I'll be missing DL2016 as my A-Levels will be after the festival, and considering its my second favourite festival I'm not best pleased. So the less the lineup to my tastes the better. I don't want it to be bad necessarily as that'd create negative hype for 2017 but I just don't want all the acts I want to see on the bill in one year.

Its because they are considering going 4 days of music next year, all depends on if they can nail the headliners

Really? Wow, that'd be a game changer. Have you heard anything on which headliners they're going for?

Why not?

Metallica

KoRn

Iggy and The Stooges

Brand New

Sleeping With Sirens

System Of A Down

Bullet For My Valentine

Alice In Chains

Motörhead

Volbeat

Bring Me The Horizon

Royal Blood

Limp Bizkit

Slayer

Alice Cooper

Black Sabbath

Steel Panther

Nightwish

All Time Low

Pierce The Veil

I do realise that Metallica are expensive. Maybe someone smaller like Blink 182 to be a fourth headliner alongside SOAD, BMTH & Sabbath.

Oh fucking great. My body hates me as it is, a whole week of that kind of abuse will mean my liver packs its bags and does one. They might well have the means and available headliners to make it possible next year but it's not sustainable IMO.

I believe it's just being looked at for next year for 4 certain headliners they are trying to acquire.

If they don't get all 4 it will be a 3 day as normal. But it seems its one of these things where they will be avaliable and Andy wants them all booked for Download not giving Soni a chance.

What happens past that I don't know.

But they did look at 4 headliners last year [2014] as well.

    • Disclosure Day was fun.  It's very Spielberg but probably not an all time classic Spielberg. Nothing particularly original but it's well made, good performances (exceptional performance by Emily Blunt) and for a 2 hour plus blockbuster it flew by. Not everything worked, but I don't want to say why to avoid spoiling. Then again, it's not like there are too many shocks in this film.
    • Do these early birds tickets sell out fast, or is it ok to wait for the w-e ?
