If memory serves 2011 was beautiful on the Tuesday, Wednesday was rainy

Can't remember Thursday

Friday was a pain in the arse as the day went on

Saturday I recall drying everything from the night before whilst sat in the top corner of the Pyramid field near the guardian sellers

Sunday, the walk from watching the Pierces in The Park to Paul Simon near killed me. About 1 million degrees C, claggy mud

Everything was bone dry by the time we all got up on the Sunday in 2011. Everyone was laid out sunbathing.

I just can't believe that what is currently being forecasted will actually happen. There's still just under a week until we're all on site. Still lots of time for the forecasts to change, I still think it's too early to fully believe what we're being told

As The Nal seems to be away.

Yup, it'll be worse!

If 2007 was a 10 then 2014 was an 8, the downpours wrecked the site.  I remember it far too well as was sober a lot of the time as working.  I got sunburnt putting tent up on Tuesday, wednesday was lovely, thursday not so after that it went downhill fast. The amount of piles of steaming woodchip that was laid to soak up the mud was immense, mini diggers between acts laying it down in the pit area, sticky gluey mud throughout the SE corner, rain watered down pints, the only place you could sit down was in the circus and cabaret tents.  2013 was a 4, it pissed it down on thursday for most of the afternoon, the park was wrecked with slippery sticky mud but it dried up after thursday and although it was a bit cloudy it was dry and the sun was there, you could sit down anywhere.  I would take 2013 any day of the week.

What concerns me is we're not looking at rain and then sun out and hot...this shit looks more autumnal, cold and wet...which means mud drying out might be an issue!

2011 was well worse than 2014.

It rained from early in the morning on the Wednesday. They opened up a little bit early, so we got in right about 8am, set up, got in the tent just in time for the heavens to open! We were watching others getting soaked while cracking open a few cans of strongbow!

I remember seeing a sign at one of the info points saying something like '12 hours torrential rain - this is not a joke'... I think that may have been Friday morning. I said I was never going again that year... I was lying obviously

Closer to 32 than 22.

More like 42 in the Avalon while the Wurzels were playing, and that's in the field, even hotter in the tent. I've experienced hot weather in different places around the world but that moment in that place was indeed, hot as hell.

Yep, we need 21+ for mud to dry out properly, effectively and quickly. And it looks like that is a pipe dream.

Oh god, I dont think I can cope with another rainy festival, worst thing is the fact there is nowhere to sit down all day. Absolute agony when you are hungover.

Need to invest in some walking boots, as 5 days straight in wellies kills your feet.

Also if it is a complete wash out this might be the last time I bother with an festival in Northern Europe (went to Germany last year and it rained all festival there too)
