What is this "too hot" nonsense you speak of... It can't be too hot!!!

It very much can

Id take 2005 over 2010 anyday

I got a bit wet and muddy in 05. I got sunstroke in 10

Wearing wellies and wets is an inconvenience I can take over crippling sickness and seeing no acts bar one on the last day

05 > 10 for moi

Course it can. If you're sweating and looking for shade, putting on sun cream and drinking lots of water, its too hot.

This is similar to the bullshit bravado people pull with chilis. I like chilis, but they can be too hot sometimes.

The accuweather forecast has taken a massive turn for the worse, I'm seeing it only as a good thing because as it stands it couldn't be worse, therefore any change between now and then can only be for the better.

Sweet Jesus

I'd like it to be like 2010 again. Nothing to do with bravado, I'm just pretty used to the heat (I'm married to a Greek)

I'd take any of 04, 09, 13 or 14.

05, 07 and 11 are to be avoided at all costs.

10 was too hot (there, I said it)

I've been to every one since 98 and the only two that were actively a drag were 98 and 07. 11 was pretty tough going at times. Not bad out of 14, though, considering the world at large would have us believe that it's a guaranteed mud fest every year :)

'07 was a freak caused by some of the worst rains and flooding that the central belt of the country had seen at that time of year in decades, remember. A bit of rain over the weekend is not a disaster, but timing and quantity can be the deciding factor I reckon.

Feels very '08 atm, but then I say that every year :P

People who thought 2010 was too hot are like people who like the courteeners, i sort of know these folks exist and i'm sure they're nice people and that but i'm just never going to understand why they're coming from when they try to explain it.

In 2010 I remember queing to sit in the shade, but I'd still say it wasn't too hot!

More importantly, on accuweather its a Thunderstorm every day and a couple of showers, i can cope with that. I'd much rather a few downpours then nothing than just steady gentle rain for hours on end.

I can see both sides. In 2010 there were definitely periods where I was desperate for cloud cover and even (dare I say) a light shower, to cool me down. This was by no means to the extreme of praying to the sun gods when it's depressingly damp. I'd take 2010 again in a heartbeat over of any Glastonbury weather I've been at the mercy of in the past.

2010 too hot, my mate spent all Friday on a drip with heatstroke before she left the festival that night - that truly was a bad day. We bought blankets from oxfam and took our ropes off the tent and strung them up on the pergodas at back of west holts on the Sat to create extra shade, ensuring we could cover as many strangers/kids from the sun at its hottest. Had some wonderful conversations with people just wanting to get out of the sun for 20mins or so.

Wouldn't want that heat again either..

That really is grim looking on accuweather isn't it. However two or so days back it was saying consistent sun throughout the whole festival. Some years the weather is so settled you can start to get a fairly good idea this far out but i think its safe to say there is no solid predicition this year. The reports and weather itself have been so up and down that we wont get a true picture until the countryfile report on Sunday week i should think.
