zahidf
Announcment tomorrow. I reckon It's Ride, based on the primavera rumours.
dentalplan
Me too. If it's still two days then Interpol are around then too so could be the other headliner.
rawaudioinput
Can Ride really headline a 20,000 cap festival?
dentalplan
It'd have to be the only announced UK show or something but I think so. The line up gets beefed up by other acts though and Metronomy headlined last year.
rawaudioinput
Metronomy are doing Ally Pally to be fair to them
LondonTom
Ride seem a bit small? But I don't really know much about them Had a nice day out for the pixies day and kind of gutted I didn't go to Metronomy day now I've been So really hoping its someone I quite like! atomised
Ride would get my interest, one of the band's I've always hoped would reform. I would imagine they'd be able to sell out a couple of nights at brixton or one at ally pally fairly easily so I would say they're a decent fit
johnl
My money is on Jamie T for one of the days.

johnl
Fair play those who predicted Ride. Personally I don't think they are anywhere near big enough for the scale of shows they have planned but wish them luck anyway - perhaps they are hoping a few Oasis hangers-on might see them. They don't seem to be on a par with Pixies though who headlined Sunday last year.
mrtourette
Don't understand it myself, ride wasn't that big in there heyday. They subbed Reading so they weren't exactly small. Not sure how this slot compares to the slots that Slowdive played this year but Ride were certainly the bigger and more popular of the two, by a long shot. Probably doesn't compare with Pixies but it's an interesting booking, and given that Field Day seems to have a reputation as a bit oh a hipster festival there should be plenty of interest in Ride. johnl
Some rumours that Patti Smith will be playing as well. I saw her at Hop Farm. It was astonishing.
Frankly Mr Shankly
Some rumours that Patti Smith will be playing as well. I saw her at Hop Farm. It was astonishing. She's playing Horses in full apparently. That should be amazing.
dentalplan
When I read it I thought it'd be the other headliner considering tickets for her own shows are about a day ticket price but seems she's on the Sunday bill. Ride and Horses though?
mrtourette
Ticket purchased! Patti Smith news a massive bonus.
johnl
Some more names released today. A bit disappointing for me but then again I'm not young and trendy. I might go on the Sunday if the weather's nice and there's not a better opportunity to see Patti Smith somewhere.
JC-Mo'Fucka
is £55 for a first release saturday ticket not a bit steep? or am I out of touch? seems like a 3rd/4th release price
LondonTom
I'd rather they just had one price for all tickets tbh.
timespeedsup
Were tickets available on the day last year? Not convinced Ride are big enough to sell it out. Umming and arring about this. Ride were the first act I ever saw live, and Patti Smith would be quite intriguing, but as a bit of an old git I can't get my head around the ticket price when I do whole festivals for cheaper than that. Yup! There wasn't alot of touts selling tickets for it outside or anything though, to get a bargain. I kept debating going for the Pixxies day last year, didn't bother buying in advance but on the day it was sunny and I had nothing better to do. Strolled along by myself and had a great time! Think I will do the same this time, as I am not entirely convinced by the lineup.
