Hi all, first time back here since last year..starting to shape my plans, Temple on Sunday looking good. I've been listening to Malugi sets. He is on before Ki/Ki. Probs need to get in the Temple for his set for a space for Ki/KI and Ben Sims. This set is a banger..

Sunday night at the Temple is looking immense. Ki/Ki, Ben Sims then Altern8 before dashing for my coach home at 7.30am. Had a listen to Malugi earlier and sounded decent.

Only got an Oxfam place yesterday and keeping everything crossed Im not on shift Sunday night

Anyone ever tried to get on the bbc introducing open decks in the past? Tried and failed to get myself a set on a few bars/smaller stages this year but noticed that on the line up and considering it just for the chance to play a few tunes aha.

Some absolute belters in there. It’s a little early in the day, but this could be a great little set, particularly if we get a few peeps down there.

It will get the party started in earnest!

Fish56octagon on Saturday night 10.30pm should be along the same lines at a more apt time!

I'm in, this will be great if it's anything like those sets

Yeah, I reckon I'll be there 🎉

Morning all. Schedule is filled nicely now with lots of sets (more than I can physically make it to in reality) of DJs and artists, many of whom come from recommendations here so thanks to all in the E&D community, this is deffo the best thread on the internet.

Not that any of you asked, but my plan is roughly this for anyone who is interested.

Thursday: Start with a bit of MJ Cole at the glade, then either hang around for Fabio & Grooverider or if too busy head off to the Sensation Seekers stage for a bit of Shohawk Duo for the traditional start to the festival from the “acoustic rave” team and then make our way to the temple for Propa Ammo vs Uncommon Records: DJ Rap & Dope Ammo vs Resist followed by our Thursday night must see of Wilkinson.

Friday: One of my busiest days for bands bouncing between other and Avalon to catch Ash, Terrorvision, Supergrass, Alanis & Biffy, the evenings dance fix will be served up by Silver Hayes on “day 1 proper”, we will be bouncing between LTJ Bukem and Goldie on levels, and FBS, Camelphat and Amelie Lens on LHC.

Saturday: Back to the Glade area on Saturday I think, although this is the night with the most options and loosest plans. Will probably start at Arcadia rushing to catch the end of Becky Hill after getting all punked up by the Lambrini girls. Max Cooper, Amelie Lens, Annie Mac, Four Tet and Malugi, Richie Hawtin, Modeselektor, are all in the mix depending on where the mood takes us, I would say that the only fixed point for the night will be Fish56Octagon on Greenpeace.

Sunday: My quietest day on the band front I reckon, so will watch Louis Dunsford on the Other first thing and then proper chill out, whittle a spoon or something and then snooze, bimble, eat some lush food and people watch my way through the day until the evening kicks off with Wolf Alice into The Prodigy on the Other stage. This will be the absolute highlight of the weekend. The greatest live act of my lifetime, in the greatest place on earth, with the person I love most in the world. Then a dash to my first ever set on IICON for Subfocus to end what will undoubtedly be the best weekend of the year.

Please note the author provides no guarantees as to the accuracy of this plan and all of the above is subject to change.

LOVE the detail, I despatched something similar to my group at 1 am this morning - might share an edited version on here. We've got a bit of crossover, hoping you can help sell me on Prodigy for Sunday headliner vs Overmono - I've seen neither but am leaning towards the latter. BUT BUT I'm easily swung by really passionate fans so intrigued by how highly you rate them... Also Sub Focus on IICON - what sort of set are you expecting? I like my DnB a little more dutty than the true dancefloor stuff (but not this recent jump-up silliness), I watched his recent Tomorrowland set and it was a bit lightweight for me do you think that's representative of most of his stuff? I'm sturggling for another big moment at IICON based on other clashes at the moment...

Current thoughts, please excuse the length but I feel like you're a crowd that likes the detail...

Thurs: warm up, hit the bars and revisit favourite places, try and avoid big crowds but dip into a few choice acts. For me: Silver Hayes (Yung Singh), Stonebridge Bar (Dj Randall tribute), Peace Stage (Four Tet), Babylon Uprising (Bullet Tooth). Born on Road at Shangrila Stage is a perfect Thursday close and ease in to the SEC.

Fri: Pyramid looking strong all afternoon concluding with Alanis and/or Biffy then Maribou State headliner on West Holts before a good long sesh in Temple for Oppidan into Joy Orbison. Like @nikkic mentioned earlier I'm planning when I can do longer stints in some fav places and despite being sold on Ben Sims on Sunday I think my Temple fix has to be this slot (despite it clashing with a ferocious DnB line up on Levels). Not really seen much love for Temple Friday night so far on this thread but I'm worried it will be rammo and might need to skip out of Maribou State early. Any thoughts from you all? Midland at Genosys would be my closer if I haven't tapped out by then.

Saturday: kick off with some Acoustic Tent (Lorraine Nash), try and check out afternoon block party at Genosys, Jayda G 6-7:30pm feels like the highlight (although clashes annoyingly with Call Super b2b Shanti Celeste at Assembly), then all roads lead to Deftones on The Other at 8:30 for me, really want to be as close the front as I’ve ever been at Glasto for this.  Am relaxed about headliner slot, could go for any of Fish (Greenpeace), Leftfield (Glade), Caribou (Park), Charli XCX (Other) or if I can persuade some of my group to sack off names they know then Hannah Wants might be my Arcadia fix. The rest of the night is impossible to call right now. Nostalgia says Skream and Benga will be incredible (but likely a roadblock for the unprepared); I like Amelie Lens more than Richie Hawtin but feel like an hour just isn't enough in one place. Stonebridge / Glade Dome will be my back ups in case I mess everything up and can't get past the crowd crust anywhere. I may well just be a bit of a passenger on Saturday knowing that it will likely be my longest night.

Sunday: option of BASS for breakfast with Mungo’s Hifi at 12 in Lonely Hearts Club then a lovely afternoon on West Holts as per most Sundays at Glasto (Cymande, Black Uhuru, Goat). Evening preferences maybe Park (I demand a glorious sunset) for Future Islands at 7:35 then I’m torn for headliner between Prodigy and Overmono. Arcadia could be the perfect afters on Sunday if I haven’t already visited before (Shy Fx b2b Eat Everything then Born on Road my favourite DnB label) but Goldie (live) into Sherelle at Glade is also V strong option. If I’m still standing then Ben Sims at Temple would be my big temptation in SEC (but I expect it to be so full of all of you by the time I get there I won't get a sniff) then if a miracle has occurred and I’m upright at 4am then Badger is closing Luna.

I feel like I've just listed pretty much everyone but still feel like a couple of things are missing for me right now: would love to see some Breaks and some Psytrance - anyone got any reccos in either of those areas?

Cheers. Please do share your plans, this thread is all about sharing, and seeing what others plan and do is all part of the fun (for me at least).

I’ve been lucky enough to see The Prodigy a bunch over the years (although not as many times as @Supernintendo Chalmers who might also be able to help persuade you) and they are consistently outstanding. I’m not into any of the other main stage headliners at all this year, I was obviously still buzzing to get tickets, but also slightly underwhelmed by the line up rumours at the time. The relief on the poster drop when The Prodigy were confirmed almost bought me to tears - once I knew they were confirmed everything else on the poster was a bonus, a mere aperitif to the main event on Sunday night.

I last saw them at Christmas in Brixton and, like every other time I’ve seen them, they blew the f**king roof off. Live dance music at its absolute best, the whole place was bouncing, a wall of sound from Liam and the band, classic banger after classic banger with no let up, Leroy hyping the crowd and the crowd going with them every step of the way.

The Prodigy are dance music pioneers, I like Overmono, but they are standing on the shoulders of giants, and those giants are The Prodigy. Honestly, even if all your mates go to Overmono, do yourself a favour, be a Warrior, join the VooDoo people, watch The Prodigy and get taken to Outerspace.

On a more practical level I would also add, that, simply due to the age of the two, you’ve probably got more chances to see Overmono other times. The Prodigy last played Glastonbury in 2009 - they probably won’t be around for another gig if they leave it another 15 years (by god I hope they don’t).

THE PRODIGY - ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED - NEVER OUTGUNNED

On Sub Focus I’ll leave it to others to answer, I’m not a DNB expert but my GF is bang into the more commercial side of DnB like Sub Focus and Wilkinson, so we will be at those sets as they are her must sees - I’m not complaining at all, btw, I’m looking forward to both, it’s just just that, I don’t really know the differences between the types of DNB so when you start using words like jump up and dutty, it makes my head wibble.

One last thought that I saw on the first timers thread, whatever you choose, there is always 100 other things on the Farm that you are missing. It’s inevitable and there’s nothing you can do about it, so focus on enjoying where you are rather than worrying about where you’re not.

Prodigy no matter what. Overmono will keep doing stuff and theyre young. You dont know when The Prodigy is gonna stop. Was obviously very fortunate to see their current set not even 2 months ago inside a tent and having not seen them since 2009. It was like a bomb went off. First Coachella weekend I had friends texting me who were watching the livestream telling me ''this is what fomo feels like''. My Gf said this was the kind of set you watch on the stream if youre going to second weekend and just get sold upon instantly even if you didnt know who the act was. Youll have zero regrets.

I’m there with bells on mate. We arrive Tuesday in the campervan fields so I will be very ready to let loose by Thursday afternoon. This sounds perfect. 😉

This is absolutely right - but the other side of the argument is that Glastonbury is usually the best experience you'll ever have seeing an act, just because of the sound, the madness, the feeling of the place, the sense of occasion

I've seen Overmono at day festivals and at their own show in Brixton, and they're great, but I think this will be another level that you can't really replicate elsewhere

In short, I just don't know

Ordinarily would be with everyone saying Prodigy, Prodigy, Prodigy (they are legends, and what an opportunity to see them!) but my small group just like Overmono more. It's a great slot for them and we've never seen them live. Each to their own.

It's an insane closing clash but so much to enjoy there in electronic music for the weekend. I'm beyond hyped now.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks for the convo on Prodigy vs Overmono @chambot @JayBoogie . @Suprefan @SouthbanKen just WOW, what pitches, I feel like you should jump on the bandstand sometime on Sunday afternoon and deliver these as a speeches for the undecided - you've certainly swung me. I think a little trip to All Points East in August will get me the Overmono fix instead (with a Sammy Virji bonus, who I was disappointed not to see on the Glasto lineup tbh). I'd love to see a few more of people's personal schedules...almost as exciting as the line up drops

Righty ho!

First draft complete. Overall impression: most disappointing Genosys line-up ever for me, doubly painful as it's my favourite dance stage by a country mile. I've had so many great nights there, so I can't be too cross.

As previously mentioned, the programming, for me, is all over the place - quite literally! So this has been a labour of love above and beyond my usual model.

I can see things changing quite a bit before entering the gates and, shock horror for me, even in real time at night 😱.

Thursday

Plan A is Marie Davidson (Levels) > Adiel (Levels)

Plan B is Roza Terenzi (Assembly) > Radioactive Man (Assembly)

Obviously there are issues for both in terms of getting in, but I intend to sacrifice some time from 10pm onwards to try to make sure I get into Levels.

Plan C, should carnage ensue, is Pearson Sound > Adam Shelton on IICON

Friday

FloPo (Woodsies) > Max Cooper (Arcadia) > Ivan Smagghe b2b Dave Harvey (Assembly) > Craig Richards (Assembly) +/- Amelie Lens (Lonely Hearts) > Freakenstein (IICON) +/- Postman (Luna)

Back-up plans include Modeselektor (IICON) > Cybotron (IICON)

Bit of a bitty Friday for me, but we'll see what transpires.

Saturday

Absolutely maddening that they've put IMOGEN on the Big Green Monster™️ at nine o'bloody clock at night. In the LIGHT! Outrageous!

So, will probably see a bit of Caribou on Park unless I dive into Leftfield on Glade, which sets things up nicely for:

Richie Hawtin (Glade) > Amelie Lens (Glade) > Confidential Recipe b2b Leeon (Genosys)* > Blawan (IICON)

*my only properly scheduled visit to Genosys this year! What the actual?!

Partok closing Genosys last year was superb, so can always flip-flop between IICON and Genosys, but I am owed a stellar set by Blawan 😆.

Sunday

All roads lead to The Temple.

Planning to catch some of Sons of Acid (Flying Bus) before giving myself enough time to ensure I get into The Temple for Malugi > KI/KI (only an hour...WHAT?!) > Ben Sims > jog to PGA!

Whilst not a vintage year in terms of flow from set to set for me, Glastonbury once again delivers an incredible four night rave smörgåsbord and it will be epic.

So, team, whatcha got?

Ben x
