I've seen Caribou before but my other half hasn't and she really wants to see them. Yeah agreed the Greenpeace slot makes the most sense. I'll make a call on the day.

FWIW, Caribou's headline set at Green Man a few years ago was pretty stellar.

Having a very hard time trying to make any sort of plan due to the sheer amount of stuff me & my mate would be more than happy to go see/want to see.

Current plan for the electronic/dance side of things looking like:

Thurs - Peaky T (after it being pointed out on here) to kickstarting proceedings, maybe Luke Una in san remo afterwards, potentially try to head up and at least chill outside stonebridge for baggy mondays (tradition n aw that) then depending on what the chat is with the open decks on BBC introducing I'm quite keen to try get in on that... failing that and crowds dependant it's between Peach B2B Club Fitness, Crazy P, Marshall Jefferson then onto either Palms Trax or Four Tet on the tree then either Confidence Man B2B Job Jobse or Wallace at San Remo then likely Joy Orbison on the Glade to round off the Thursday although could also potentially end up at Marie Davidson or DJ Tennis & Ashee. (before taking into account any of the other potential stuff we had fancied like Dom Joly & Flash Bang Brass)

Fri - Crazy P on the Glade (Probably the more likely crazy P set we'll try to catch as less in the way of clashes) then either hang around for carl cox, head down to craig charles in Shangri La or west holts for glass beams. then a bit of a clash between the bands we had wanted to see but Chaos in the CBD was high on both our lists and seems the san remo set is the better of the 2 options we have for them given this mornings news... then potentially L-VIS 1990 back for floating points most likely but also potentially Logic 1000, Optimo is an almost cert with the Glasgow connection and some plans to try meet up with other folk we know then either back down for four tet or stick around for max cooper then likely just be flipping between bugged out in the stonebridge & arcadia the rest of the night main ones we wanna see are the erol B2B fall forward (bugged out classics set) & palms trax b2b job jobse.

Sat - (the one day we are planning to go full throttle til 6am...) Fcukers on woodsies to kick things off then a mix of bands throughout the day until biig piig then erol alkan b2b ewan mcvicar, headliner time is currently a 4 way split between Charli, Scissor Sisters, Modeselktor or Leftfield (Caribou would have probably won here but tickets to see them at the barrowland in December so not overly fussed about that) then likely some richie hawtin, maybe upto confidence man afterwards and groove armada B2B jungle after them and Deep Dish (Classic house set) in NYC Downlow to finish off the night. plenty of gaps between the late stuff so imagine we'll wander about and find a beat we like...

Sun - Not fully dug into Sunday yet tbh but likely a later start given the night before... & a much more chilled day probably kicking off with Royel Otis then Rod into Nile Rodgers & Chic, Parcels & The Prodigy and after that is anyones guess but main contenders at the moment are Danilo Plessow (MCDE), Nia Archives, Ben Sims & Maybe Altern-8 to finish it off if we are still standing by then.

& all that is without taking into account the bands and other stuff we fancied trying to get to, almost certain all of this will become a what are we in the mood for at the time and go for that rather than any set plan.

FWIW with the sunflower obv four tet has self confirmed but my money would obviously be on floating points, probably caribou/daphni, maybe jamie xx & as the soundsystem is a collab with cosmic slop i'd expect their resident DJs to be playing too. all of which adds even more unknown factors to the plan as I'm also very keen to check that out at some point.

Caribou live set is still top drawer. (A lot better than the bobbins that was that last album). Saw them earlier this year and it was great fun.

Dan is always wonderfully enthusiastic and seems genuinely happy to be fortunate enough to be playing to a crowd.

Got a long flight tomorrow so treating myself to a SoundCloud Premium purchase... can anyone recommend some DJ sets to listen to ahead of Glastonbury?

For sure, which DJs do you like?

House and techno... picked artists like Eats Everything, Job Jobse, Marshall Jefferson, Palms Trax, Erol Alkan

Keen to find some smaller names!

If you like things a bit funky and some old skool cuts in there then any of Greg Wilson’s many many sets are on SoundCloud and will keep you bopping. It’s certainly not techno but he’s got plenty of Hacienda type sets as well as a few recent funky ones from Pikes in Ibiza along with a massive variety of other stuff including the multitude of Glasto sets he’s done over the years!

It bloody clashes with Caribou though! Do we think his trance set will only be on Greenpeace?

He’s been pretty clear on his Insta the Greenpeace stage set will be trance, trance and

more trance. Loads requested it when he put the question out what did everyone want. He’s a definite trance head but really knows his dance

music very well so I’d expect a mixture of stuff on the Glade ranging from a bit of happy hardcore right through to some drum and bass possibly. If you want a trance sesh then the Greenpeace stage is where you need to be this festival in my opinion. I know he’s going to bring it and just worry about how early we’ll need to get there to be sure of seeing him. Clashes aside I think he’ll garner a big crowd for this set!

Argh I know - will have to play it by ear and see where the wind blows us on the day.

Not sure what sets you'll find on soundcloud as I'm more a youtube/mixcloud user for getting sets but no doubt plenty to choose from amongst your selection there. If you can find it there is a really good Palms Trax B2B Job Jobse from the lot radio from September last year, maybe a bit more of an eclectic mix and again not sure if on soundcloud but also Floating Points, Caribou & Palms Trax from the NTS Square party.

Could probably add any confidence man DJ set in there as definitely not out of place amongst those names, Peach another good one, DJ Seinfeld as well and a bit on the less known end (& Scottish so obviously amazing... aha) La La might be up your street done 1 or 2 mixmag sets and think also has a rinse fm show these days so no doubt plenty to pick from.

They were really good supporting confidence man on their tour last year, definitely recommended!

The amount of 1 hour sets is so annoying!

They should cut 1/4 of the DJs and try and book some more big hitters IMO.

1 Hour for job jobse b2b palms trax is a joke! Most sets should at least be 1.5 hrs IMO

100% agree … a few long sets 4/5/6 hours at a couple of smaller stages across the weekend would be great . DJs like Ivan Smagghe / Dresden lend themselves perfectly to this . 1 hour b2b absolutely pointless.

Is anyone really gonna want to commit to a 4/5/6 hour set in the same place when you have the whole of glasto to go at tho? Fair play if that’s your thing, but it feels a bit wasteful to me.

I’ve added the Barry Can’t Swim 6 hour set to my lineup on the app and it’s clashing with 4 other acts. Too much to miss by committing to it.

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
    • Beartooth? Or are they a bit to shouty shouty
    • May   1. Josiah and The Bonnevilles - As Is 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me 3. The Coral - 388
    • That would be my dream trio based on bands that have been rumoured
