Ok, finally had a chance to take stock and start coming up with some type of late night plan.  Here’s what I’ve got so far;

THUR

Might catch some Beatles Dub Club (but seen them plenty so not desperate) before definitely hitting MJ Cole. Will try to take in some of Peach b2b Club Fitness if Levels ain’t too crazy by then, before swinging up to the Tree for some Leon Vynehall ambient noodling with food and then Four Tet. If that’s crazy, I’ll duck out and go to Bubble Love, then stay at Glade for Eliza Rose and Joy Orbison (but may catch Wallace instead of Ross and Eliza if I stay for all of Four Tet). Then will at least try for some of Marie Davidson, before choosing between Adiel, Radioactive Man or Avalon Emerson entirely dependent on crowds, queues and mood.

FRIDAY

May catch some of Fleetmac Wood, and will definitely hit Carl’s disco party for a bit.  Looking likely to kick off my night at Avery b2b Imogen (need to see her at some point, and the other set is looking incredibly unlikely). Then undecided on whether to do Floating Points and Four Tet, or go for the Logic 1000, Óptimo, Max Cooper dragonfly triple punch. Then likely to do Peach x Saoirse x Moxie, Cybotron, mebbes Joy, or poss back to Genosys. Will probably save energy and not stay for Midland as wanna get up for Yann Tiersen but 🤷🏼‍♂️.

SAT

If Patchwork ain’t Pulp, may end up at any of Levels for Chaos in the CBD and Haai b2b Romy, Nabihah Iqbal on Glade, or even attempt to get in to NYCDL for Derrick Carter. Might be tempted for a nibble of Max Cooper on Glade between Deftones and Charli, before going to Richie Hawtin and Amelie Lens before Blawan. (I am also intrigued by the KLF remixes hour in Setting Sun, and would love to see Paranoid London on the head - but have no idea what I’d do in SE Corner between that and Blawan)

SUN

If my body doesn’t fail me (which is becoming increasingly likely with my growing list of physical ailments), I reckon I’ll try for DJ Boring b2b DJ Seinfeld, Goldie, and some Leon Vynehall - although also tempted by MCDE in NYCDL. If I have the beans, I may even try for Ben Sims, especially if I don’t make Joy on Fri to get my Temple fix.  If my body has failed me, I’ll be heading up to the tree with a hot chocolate and special brownie to get some Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins, Hannah Holland and poss Wata Igarashi in me.

Can’t wait.

I can see trouble ahead 'swinging up to the Tree' before this year would have meant the Green peace rave tree - I guess you would swing by rather than swing up for this tree. But I can forsee endless confusion between these two stages. I tend to call the Greenpeace tree 'rave tree', but if I'm going to see four tet for example then would the assumption be that I'm going to rave so would be at this tree. I'm really really  excited for this new tree stage - maybe I'll call it the  'sssshhhhhh tree'.

It was there last year. It was fine - just call Greenpeace the rave tree now, and The Tree definitely wasn’t the rave tree last year. Although maybe Four Tet is gonna change that

No I think he's wanting to do more ambient stuff on there - I'm hoping for something along the lines of his morning/evening ep.

We weren't there last year so new for us this year, looks like some really interesting things on there. Some of our gang haven't been for ten years so haven't seen either tree, they're the ones I'm worried about.

We had a mix up last year between the 2 tree stages so yes it does happen

In fact, please could some of you young 'uns hit him up on Insta and say that there's a proper rave crew who would love it if he brought a set like this to the Farm.

When he ramps up the bpm in the second half...utterly joyous. Some of the darker tracks are KI/KI-level superb.

You know what?

I'm not sure I can resist his trance set on the Rave Tree...

As we've discussed at length, Glastonbury seems to have some sort of issue with trance of any kind. And this seems to be be the only one we'll get, so...

Ben

See you there skipper. He definitely loves trance so it should be full of bangers!

Most probably, I didn't think of there though but it's a good shout. I meant the more proper stages though, buy i'm guessing not many, if any will be?

Kinetic and Mez Yard are open Wednesday into early Thursday. Apart from the various bars and crew areas, I think that's it

I really like Fish Octagon.

He’s just really passionate (and knowledgeable) about dance music.

The fact he’s living his dream shows the big plus side of what social media can do.

If this set didn’t clash with Caribou I’d definitely be there.

I see Jon Hopkins is on the schedule but only for 25 mins (for a playback). Any idea why that’s the case? I assume we can expect him to appear elsewhere either live or DJ? Certainly hope so.

It's part of the ambient line-up on the Tree Stage. I wouldn't bet on him being elsewhere, I'm afraid. Not impossible, but there's no real reason why he wouldn't have been announced on one of the area line-ups, and it's not as if there are any dance TBAs on the schedule. Sorry 😢

I'm wondering if he'll want a go on the sunflower? I think they'll all want a go on there!

Oh! That's true! Tbh, I could do without the Sunflower complicating an already tricksy schedule for me! But I bet the sound is ridiculously good.

Me too! It's clashtastic already! And no doubt if word of anyone well know gets out then it will be too hard to get in to. But I aim to be in there at some point and hopefully that will coincide with one of the greats.

It bloody clashes with Caribou though! Do we think his trance set will only be on Greenpeace?

Dunno. 6.30pm seems a funny slot for a trance set, but it is the bigger stage, so maybe that will be trance as well, or maybe the Greenpeace one will not be. If it's the latter, I'll be furious! That set needs the dark, and so pleeeease let it be the GP one, if not both! I like Caribou, but Saturday starts Camp Rave Night™️, so I'm kicking it off there. With the Park headliners finishing later than the others, I want to be sure to be at Glade for Richie at midnight. &nbsp

I've seen Caribou before but my other half hasn't and she really wants to see them. Yeah agreed the Greenpeace slot makes the most sense. I'll make a call on the day.

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
    • I was surprised as well. I met more than 20 different people on both Friday and Saturday that had come in reusing QR codes.
