Soo happy that J.E.S.&.S are playing, been wanting to see them for ages ever since I saw their Boiler Room set. A bit gutted they are in Shangri-La though as I reckon it will be absolutely rammed. Hope that the Solomun rumour comes through as well.

Is Solomun down to play?

I've a stag in Ibiza a few weeks before Glasto and he is one of the must-sees for a few lads in the group

That Dekmantel line up is the best line up of year imo, for electronic music festivals.

It has been mentioned in another thread but Four Tet has TBC on http://www.fourtet.net/for the 28th but is playing in Canada 2 days before, hopefully he flies back after that show as he has no more scheduled across the pond after that date! so maybe it's a glasto set

There's a cracking electronic festival on in my neck of the woods every year over the week of Glasto, and this year again looks the business.

Hoping a few of these folk turn up at the farm:

So spoilt to have Celtronic in my home town. Lineups and the crowd/atmosphere are always top notch. And us Derry wans are the biggest partiers about!

Squarepusher would be great addition I think too. Especially on the Glade. Saw him at the Bangface Weekender last month. He was unreal. Definitely one of the best sets I've seen from him. His new album is pretty beastly actually.

Just been pounding weights in the gym to that album. I think I was looking like a right spazz.

Some cracking tunes and hopefully a return to form!

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
