good news! still kicking myself over missing them when they supported Real Estate. one of my favourite albums of last year

I'm kicking myself that I only just found out about that, would've been awesome. Hopefully, they'll both appear at glasto, could real estate sub the park or jp?

think / hope Real Estate would be on the Park - they seem like that kind of act (but then, i'd like every act i like to play the Park over JP)

New Courtney Barnett LP announced last night. March/April tour dates imminent guys! As previously discussed, reckon she's a shoe in for early Pyramid/Other if she's around!

I have a bad feeling Alvvays will be in JPT instead of The Park :(

Someone asked me to go to Real Estate in Newcastle with them. Declined because I was planning on seeing British Sea Power with a brass band in Gateshead that night (ended up not going to that in the end :(). Listened to Alvvays for the first time a few days ago and then found out they were supporting Real Estate at that gig! Anyway, would love to see them at Glastonbury this year.

Yeah, some good stuff being mentioned on this thread, Courtney Barnett was great on the park last year, hope she's back again, plus i fucking love that real estate album, and having found alvvays earlier this week (on the eotr bill), i've taken to them in a big way. And while i'm here, i'll chuck Ultimate Painting in as well.

Ultimate Painting! had their album downloaded for ages but just haven't got round to checking them out yet. next on my list

also, i didn't initially for the new Real Estate album (well, not as much as Days) but i listened to it for the first time in a while yesterday and it's bloody brilliant - christ knows what i was thinking

Aww Veronica Falls, now we're talking. They're like The Spanish Inquisition, nobody ever expects them to be as good live as they are, even if you really love the albums, never see it coming.

Now this is a thread I like!

Delighted that Alvvays are rumoured. That album was fantastic. Really good stuff.

Also didn't realise there was a new Courtney Barnett track. Saw her in the John Peel last year, don't know who I saw instead of her Park set. I loved her to pieces but I can't help but feel that The Park set was perhaps the one to be at.

Just beginning to get into Father John Misty, would think The Park would be a decent spot for him.

EDIT: Just listened to the CB track. Great. I apparently opted for Temples and a sit down back at the tent when she was on The Park last year. Error.

My two favourite acts just now, I heard very good reviews of Alvvays from pals who saw them at Tuts last weekend so I'm keen to see them myself. Its a great album.

FJM on the Park would be brilliant as long as it was dark, don't fancy seeing him on a sunny afternoon.

Chateau Lobby #4 is being played on a loop in my house just now, can't remember the last time I was looking forward to an album release so much.

I've only just gotten into FJM over the past couple of weeks as 6 Music have been playing Chateau Lobby #4 to death and I love it. I haven't gotten too far into the back catalogue yet so I wouldn't know exactly where to place him, but from what I've heard, The Park seemed a good place.

Would the rest of his stuff not suit the daytime then? CL#4 seems perfectly suited for the sunshine, as would quite a few of the others I've heard.

Just wanted to say thanks to the folks on this thread. I'd heard the name Alvvays before, but not listened to them. Just checked out a few songs and I'm liking them very much. Hope they are on The Park, seems like they'd be great on a sunny afternoon!

Yeah that's how I've got into him, been listening to his first album on Spotify too.

I dunno maybe it would be ok but in my head he's a night time act.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
