Noel is busy for the first two days of the weekend. He wouldn't have time to rehearse it, even in the unlikely event he wanted to. He's also playing dates with the HFB through July (and maybe August, haven't checked) - why would he reuinte Oasis for one show only to then break it up again straight afterwards?

Fair points. I hadn't really looked at his dates either. As I say I guess it's credibility on his part. I don't doubt Noel's capable of doing it. As you say it's probably not plausible. I just don't think it's impossible. Just as an example, didn't Libertines just play the one show for reading and Leeds? Can't remember if Pete was touring then? Not sure.

funnily enough, i was thinking earlier about why Kings of Leon weren't being talked about, and on here i come and someone has mentioned them!

7 years since they headlined, so long enough to come back

it was only after they headlined that Sex on Fire came out and they went properly mainstream.

headlining a US festival the week before.

enough crossover between "indie" and pop fans

last 2 albums haven't been as big, but still went no.1, and they're still way bigger than sub level

they'd draw a big crowd and would be a solid enough headliner.

they definitely warrant being included on the list of possible headliners anyway.

I feel like if it was KOL there'd be some info about it by now, also don't glasto usually get more current bands (as in 21st century acts) when they're touring an album, its been a while since mechanical bull, right?

Michael Eavis isn't at Glasto HQ on the evening of 2nd April - don't know if that would effect line-up release date? He's opening something at work that evening.

If it hasn't been released by then the only sane thing to do would be to kidnapp him and demand the lineup in exchange for his safe return.

Why is the field day line-up so fucking good and why does it have to be the weekend before a week in which i have 5 a level exams... fml

hoping there's a lot of glasto crossover.

Two years ago, I went to Field Day on the day before one of my university exams.

I'm doing this linear course in english where i take my AS's this year as well as a2's so i have four days of english exams in a row and then on one of those days i have a politics and history exams.

The chances of my rents letting me are nil. Hell, I have to convince them to let me go out tomoz cos they think i'm not working hard enough, exams are in June FFS.

    • Love him in in the next interview to say. "Oh f**k off i give up, what's the point in trying it's far to hard. Let some other c**t have go and see how they get on" Unplugs mic, cracks a can of special brew, and wonders off
    • and still twenty one pilots must have a very persuasive management team, unless they are still rearranging the schedule, still seems really odd.
    • Phew, been waiting a while for a statement like this.     Well at least a few days since the last one

    • The only number I can find is 90k, but it doesn't really break it down in the way you're asking so it is up in the air in that regard. My only thing here is that I don't think Leeds is in danger or is flagging in sales. I thought last year had an awful lineup so I opted out but apparently a hell of a lot of people decided to go, so I really do believe it is just us lot all being out of touch with what the modern R&L audience wants.   I do think this year has a good lineup although I know a lot of people on here disagree with that, so I am gonna be there and we shall see what it is like on the ground this year in terms of attendance.
