I don't think we are going to have anymore info till at least Tuesday so until then all the negativity is based purely on speculation. For all we know they aren't playing, or it has been worked out in some way that allows them to do both shows. While I agree with the sentiment if true at the moment we really don't know what the situation is.

I don't disagree, blackred, but as regulars to this site, and to the general environment of all this, there's speculation and speculation, isn't there.

It seems inconceivable to me, given the national press coverage, that GFL and/or The Who are not entirely aware of this speculation. Were there to be no foundation to it and it's all bollocks, then I wuold (perhaps naively) hope that The Who's organisation would have issued a statement reassuring all ticketholders for the 28 June Paris gig that all is hunky dory. The counterposition to that is that idf it is all bloocks, they may feel that they do not need to give any concession to The Sun's sensationalist shit and make an announcement, as those Paris ticketholders have nothing to worry about.

Add to that the various, credible bits of info - Neil's stuff, the apparent movement of other gigs around that date etc. and, despite being a confirmed non-conspiracy theorist, I find myself coming down on the side of thinking that, on the balance of probabilities, The Who are playing, and so will have screwed over their fans. Given my rational appraisal, I feel comfortable to express my displeasure for what I believe to be a shitty way to treat people, by a group of incredibly privileged indiviiduals, out in that privilege, as has been said numerous times, by the same type of people they seem now to be content to disregard.

On that basis, I'm gonna gently hold my position as Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells until such time that Paul McCartney is announced and we all look like a medieval mob with torches and pitchforks.

With this news coming through, my headliners for 2015 are Hot Chip, George Clinton and his mates and The Chemical Brothers.

Cannot wait!

What if SFA are headlining the Park on Saturday, III? Would that give you another decision to make?

Or Caribou? (or are they defo Friday, I can't remember...); or Jon Hopkins??!!

FF, Suede Nme would be good and The Who.

Personally although I'm not a big fan of Kanye, I'd struggle to disagree with it being the strongest top two overall for any festival this year, Macca and Morrissey topping one day at Firefly in the States is very strong too though.

Hot Chip, Kanye & The Who for me it seems.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking as well. Great set. Possible I might end up somewhere else depending on who's headlining lower down on Sunday but The Who will be great anyway!

Good minds think alike Matt! 3 solid headliners. Although I may do half of The Who, but I'm thinking along the same lines as you.

If FKA TWIGS is headlining West Holts the sunday night though i may have to do a bit of running!

I feel like it's too soon to figure out what my three headliners will be.

Yep, I can't even think about it right now. We've probably got names for what, 5 of the 100+ stages and even then several of those are assumptions on what slots they'll play.

    • as if by magic... (but don't tell anyone that it isn't that easy to just cut welfare and that maybe taxes will have to go up)
    • Lost my love of football years ago so I pay very little attention to it these days but I'm really enjoying Max Rushden's video diaries of his flat share with Barry Glenddening. I think Barry might kill him before the end of the tournament
    • Not sure if we had a si glow weekend goer on here last year so will be good to have a proper review of the new format
