Sure the band would open themselves up to some legal action as well. You are a who fan and paid for travel and accommodation In Paris.

You then find out out 28 days before the gig the band are rearranging to fit in a festival.

Hardly the most classy act for a band that size and would rightly be criticised

Ugh. This better be a wind up. Horrible heritage "band" (or should it be duo) who played just 8 years ago with very little chance of a different in setlist, bugger all influence on the current music scene and who can't even sell out their own show even on their last ever tour. If they cancel on their own fans in Paris why the hell should we have to put up with them?

Would leave a bad taste in the mouth. The Eavae getting bands to cancel sold out shows?! A new low.

I was at the show in 2007. Heaviest rain for a headliner I can remember. Appalling weather. Still doesn't justify them fucking off their fans in Paris.

I wonder if they could get the foos to change the day they are playing. They are playing wretcher on the Thursday and have no gig, after Glastonbury, until the following weekend, it will also give daves voice a rest. It might free up another act then.

As the clock ticks are we expecting a denial or confirmation from Emily? She was trigger happy enough in the past...

Of all the huge mega-acts that've played the last decade or so, The Who are bottom of the list of my "longed-for returnees". Hugely disappointing stuff from Worthy HQ.

The Who are playing Hyde Park on the Friday. Could maybe swap with kanye though.

No harm in denying it if it's untrue but if it is and there is a clause in the contract delaying the announcement surely she can't comment.

If they move the Paris gig a couple of hours earlier and say finish it by 8:30(7:30 UK time), would that be enough time to fly back with a helicopter?!

The article didn't say anything about cancelling, there are other ways to "rearrange" a gig...

She's generally not very quick to kill off a wrong story, if she deems it worth bothering with to kill it off.

There's an awful lot of stuff that goes around that never gets commented on by her. I don't think you can read anything into it if she doesn't comment.

"Sorry to all the Paris fans that had booked travel and accommodation! We just really wanted Pete 'n Wodge. Awks!!!!!!!????"

I just can't see it from her, Soz.

Glastonbury don't have to have asked that though. The band may have come to them. After that, it's not up to the Eavii how they arrange their schedule. From a cold hard cash and publicity point of view it could make sense to the band and their management to risk the wrath of 6000 who they're never going to sell tickets to again.

Personally I'm not bothered whether it's them or not but it fits all the clues we've had so far

Couple weeks back we had Chris Martin and Nae Doubt creating a aural longdrop on the Pyramid Stage. We know nada.

I won't comment on the ethics of cancelling a gig to play Glastonbury. What I will say is that the set and accompsnying visuals for this final tour is stunning. I saw them in Cardiff and even though they had to cut out a big section from Tommy because Daltrey was unable to perform, I had already seen the most mind blowing show and tribute to their former band mates. I will be absolutely made up if this news is true. It knocks spots off anything they have given us before and will go down as one of the greatest Glastonbury sets ever.
