Couple weeks back we had Chris Martin and Nae Doubt creating a aural longdrop on the Pyramid Stage. We know nada.

Maybe. For several reasons I hope it's a(nother) comically shit guess from everyones favourite emergency toilet paper. The Eavii's tears for a few thousand Parisians won't be the reason though.

I'd guess the band's only comment would be the cancellation of the Paris show. This issue with announcing them for Glasto isn't likely to be that, it's likely to be the BST show, so they probably have to keep it zipped (if it is them).

I've just looked at Ticketmaster France, and tickets are still available to buy for that Sunday Paris show.

I've tweeted @thewho and @emilyeavis to seek confirmation. If this rumour gets enough coverage someone will be forced into making a statement on behalf of the Paris ticket holders.

So I reckon the Sun's story is probably wrong, but I guess it's a good idea to keep an eye on those tickets.

Sorry about previous posts...finger trouble.

This seems so unfair if true. Does this sort of thing happen cancelling gigs for other gigs? surely the who wouldn't want to do that to thier fans. The only thing I can think of to make this in anyway possible is if the who played fri or sat instead!

I reckon lots of people missed The Who in 2007 - we were 2 of 1000's who gave up on Sunday and went home early due to the constant rain and mud. To be honest I wasn't that bothered and I don't even think we watched on TV we got back. I still would be pretty underwhelmed if it was them.

I just clicked on the link and it says the shows sold out! I thought it could be the who back in February/March with their odds at 12/1 i checked their tour and saw Paris so didn't put any money on! I think there must be some sort of substance to the story for them to run it and confident enough to tweet about it the day before they publish, I'd be happy to see them with Noel sub, watched Weller few years ago, wasn't very good

I'm confused, when I go on that page it says all tickets are sold out or unavailable?

Also, Neil when you updated the line up page a couple of weeks ago you added The Who as a R/SR (Can't remember which) but then took it down once the Paris gig was mentioned, did you have any info that lead you towards believing it could be The Who?

Morrissey is the only one I can remember in 2011, think he knocked a gig back a couple of days.

Still seems more likely to me that it'll be one of the bands who have got other gigs but not one that night.

You cannot agree to cancel a gig in April then not tell the fans until June.

Not unless you're a bunch of greedy tossers. If the Eavii are knowing accomplices to it then that's a bit shit as well.

Mind, saying all that, I bet myself and a few others wouldn't be complaining too much if it was a more inspiring booking that was acting the c**t.

Still says they're all sold out to me. These dates in a 6k venue were announced in November, so it may well have sold out long ago.

Yep, I checked a few weeks ago when The Who were rumoured and they were sold out then. There are links on the website but they all say "not available" and have for some time!

Yep same here now.... If I'd paid more attention in school I would have known what 'depuis' meant.

The tickets page has changed since I looked earlier, which suggests the story might be true

Nope. They were a band I guessed at because of "other shows" but where the Paris show had slipped my mind.

    • That would be a day ticket for Friday going based on that. In 2027 that would suck for me lol.
    • And it's been moved forward a week, same weekend as RaR
