Assuming Prince is the headliner with Florence as the back up, the problem they would have is that they couldn't release a poster with Florence on as well as a TBC, only to then announce Florence as the headliner should Prince fall through.

They could just not announce Florence but then everyone would be working out who the subs are etc and it could get complicated.

Not having the headliner (thirdeyeblinder) lined and being prepared to bump up Flo makes sense as to why the line up isn't out.

If this is the case then they couldn't issue with a tbc and include Flo on the bill because if they then released a second poster with her as the headliner, it would be obvious she was only there as they failed to get someone else.

That probably would not look good for all concerned.

is that like how it was definitely going to be coldplay? im trusting noone to get my hopes up this time around not even efests! haha :)

the info I'm working from could be wildly wrong, I can offer no guarantees, and I'm stitching a few bits together and might have done that wrongly.

But, from what I've heard, I do think it's more likely I'm on the right path than not. But I'm relying on what people have told me, and I've no way of knowing for sure if that's true.

I'm thinking it's Prince or Bowie, with Florence subbing.

Therefore I can't see the lineup poster released until Thursday at the earliest. Because they need to lock in the third headliner before they can announce Florence too...

Noel Gallagher's playing in Austria for the money it's not him

I don't think he's actually playing Austria, that was just his way of putting across that he won't be there. Bit like when he was asked if he'd be at Ed Sheeran's Wembley gigs and he said he'd be in somewhere like Kazakhstan playing for half the fee.

Do you think a lineup is likely anytime soon then? Even without the third headliner?

The 3rd headliner might be along soon-ish, perhaps, but I don't think more names will come this week (unless perhaps one or two names along with the 3rd headliner)

Van Morrison third down would be brilliant, I would defo watch that. I take it that was the info you had heard JoeyT?

Bowie would be much preferred personally, I just can't vision either of them despite the info

I think the amount of secrecy around it all this year its more then likly feeding people false information would be a part of that, dont take any offense I wouldnt belive anything that wasnt out of either eavis`s mouth right now and even that I might wonder if he was just having a laugh :P

I've more reason to think what i've recently heard is good than most other things.

People may complain if Bowie was billed third down

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
