so are we thinking lineup wont be here before payment window closes tonight?

I think it will be Thursday now, payment window closes tonight - Eavis discuss's sales with the purple one tomorrow- "look look mr purple we have sold out our festival without your name. Please now sign the contract" then 8am Thursday release

Bowie would certainly fit everything that I'm putting together into my thinking.

But for no particular reason, I think he's not likely and that Prince is much more likely.

So it sounds like there are two options in terms of releasing the lineup around about now.

1) Release a small poster like last year with a TBA on it until the third headliner is nailed down

2) Wait until that contract is signed and release all at once.

At this stage I would happily take a TBA over another month+ of waiting!

That's probably not too far from the truth

    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
    • Has Glastonbury already got council permission for that 5 year run?
