To be fair, Emily says she would love to see her on the pyramid stage, she doesn't say she's NOT playing glastonbury, just headline

That along with Florence' giggling interview with Zane when he had a G outburst to her, il be extremely surprised if she isn't playing in some capacity

Is that all of her plans or just some that Emily doesn't know?Ultimately, it means nothing towards whether flo is playing Glasto.

I agree with Neil. It could be something like...she's subbing glasto, I don't know her plans elsewhere so don't know if she'll be headlining anywhere, but I think she could headline

If anyone's wondering what I mean by oh dear, robbie has posted a photo of him at glastonbury one year with "pay close attention. RW x"

I think you are over thinking this, he's posted a picture with Keith Flint and quoting lyrics from Out Of Space, hardly a give a way to anything

Pearl Jam on the Other Stage is far from realistic though. I don't believe there are other festivals on this planet where Pearl Jam play the second stage.

well Smashing Pumpkins and The Pixies play the 2nd stage, and they're far more popular with casual festival fans than Pearl Jam.

there's no hope whatsoever that they'd be headlining the Pyramid, even subbing.

your not familiar with the phrase `just throwing it out there` are you? and at this stage mate anyone is acceptable........but I think the madonna rumours have died a death anyway....sooo......lol

Died a death or simply just not been mentioned for 18 hours?

Smashing Pumpkins and Pixies play lower slots at most major festivals though whereas Pearl Jam don't at any. If there's no hope of them headlining the Pyramid, that's fine as they can still do their own massive gigs and festivals, but suggesting anywhere else on the bill is pointless.

oh i get it your some pissed off madonna fan with a grudge because I slagged her off....mate noone has a clue at this stage I was just throwing out some random big act I noticed had a new tour going soon and hadnt been mentioned yet........No I dont think van halen will headline....but they could do.....and that is the point of this thread is it not?

Nah I'm not a 'pissed off Madonna fan' at all, I'm simply calling you out on your hypocritical posts.

actually it isnt, they are every bit a similar sized band fanbase wise and popularity wise to the pumpkins., thats a very good comparison actually.....not slagging off pearl jam but they arent as big here as you claim they are

They played the Milton Keynes Bowl last year.....Pumpkins have never been anywhere near a stadium in the UK.

    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
    • Yeah its absolutely on me that isn't think Shinia Twain was an awful choice- i get that.  Im still of the paul simon, ELO kind of thoughts but I realise things change. Im still intrigued what constitutes legend though. Robert plant played and he wasn't a legend slot- to me that would have fitted. Is it a ' comedy ' ' good time ' slot now? Comedy isn't the right word - guilty pleasure or something like that?
