'She's not going to be headlining, but she could be.' Odd wording

I've always taken that, but she could be, as she's subbing and they see her as a real strong sub

With her not being at bestival, surely she's got to be at Glastonbury? Because it's been stated she's doing one uk festival hasn't it?

i don't think so.

it's been stated that she's headlining festivals, but there was no mention of them being UK festivals.

if her only UK festival appearance is subbing at Glastonbury, it's a bit odd. she's certainly big enough to be headlining the mid-sized festivals at least. she's headlining Electric Picnic here in Ireland which is about 45k.

FATM tick several boxes for the last headliner - female-fronted, british, bump-up, crossover/mainstream Sunday act....

if it wasn't for Emily's comments, i think they'd be the frontrunner...

Nah not headlining it. Big Weekend's not really a festival anyway. Glastonbury seems pretty definite with Bestival ruled out.

Who is headlining it. I presumed her and swift were the headliners from looking at the site.

Agreed Glasto looks nailed on, I just dont think she'll be headlining

They've not announced the other headliner yet, I'd guess that will come when the rest of the lineup is announced.

Had a dream last night that I was at the filming of some chat show, Kylie Minogue was there with Michael and Emily Eavis. They told us all that an announcement was imminent! So of course i came straight on here to let you all know.

    • Policing is very relaxed, provided you stay within your lines I'd say. I don't think we're supposed to have an event shelter as well as a tent next to our van, but we've done it without issue for years. It's a happy vibe up there.
    • Do feel a lot more cynical about the Mercury now. Given the awards show is now an arena event, there's clearly a pressure on them to nominate mainstream acts in order to sell tickets for it. And not saying that Jade and Knats don't deserve to be nominated (haven't listened to either), but the fact the event is in Newcastle can't have nothing to do with that... (not to mention Fender winning last year, which frankly was a joke)    Hard not to agree with this: https://www.clashmusic.com/features/this-years-mercury-prize-is-a-pivot-towards-the-mainstream/
