I could have started a new thread but I decided I couldn't handle the flack. However, in the spirit of taking up more unnecessary web space, here are my top 3 sensational reunited headliner possibilities:

1. Led Zeppelin - obviously

2. The White Stripes

3. ABBA - crowd pleaser

Any better offers? (I don't like The Smiths)

That'd be my 3 ideal reunited bands probably.

Why are people so afraid to start a new thread?

Some questions asked are good points and would help other people on efests.

Just be careful with the thread title

I know. Poor Ms Mendip, probably posted with absolutely no malice intended, thought it was a fair question (which it is) and at the last count had 56 downvotes.

I am sure it's a record down vote, even mike99 would be proud (hope I have the right person apologies if incorrect).

Gotta be mike99, Matt42, nufc1979(?) or some other blert with a number after their name.

I mean that in a nice, none passive aggressive way.

Anyone heard if Craig Charles is playing?

Was hoping he would play in Shangrila again.

I hope so and would have thought so as he was a success and he plays everywhere constantly.......

Enjoyed him at the Hell Stage and Arcadia last year. Great time in the sunshine and then in the rain. Danced without a care for the duration, great sets.

Considering this thread has named nearly every single act that's current active, *someone* is going to be able to correctly claimed they predicted the 3rd headliner. Unless it's Slade reforming with Noddy. I'm claiming that one.

Yes indeed. Probably now a shaking wreck hiding in the cupboard under the stairs. The Glastonbury spirit isn't always immediately evident on here.

Stupid me missed him last year hence why I am hoping he will play.

Oye! No cheeky editing without noting it. White Stripes over Talking Heads?!!!! Never.

Aha sorry, thought bolding the letters would do it ;) I've never listened to Talking Heads before so can't comment really, heard alot about them but have never checked them out, probably should.

Don't mistake it for any sort of real fear or hesitation. The people stating this (and those dishing out faux flack) are actually just 'in the know' that the number of pages in this particular thread is monitored by Emily Eavis and directly influences the decision on when various announcements will be made.

Talking Heads would be awesome but the comment above (never heard them) explains why it will never happen.

I'm calling it now, definitively, for Bowie. It's happening. Don't ask me how I know but I do know.*

* I know because a music teacher... etc... etc...

Madonna has stated she likes Swift. Swift danced to Kanye at the Brits after having dinner with him following the Grammy Awards. All three appeared at the Brits broadcast by the Beeb which broadcasts Glastonbury. You know my thoughts on Swift but I agree that Madonna would be the coup heritage act and it could well be Swift subbing Madge or even vice versa. With Lionel on before that it would be an unbelievable night - the kind that makes people talk about for years.

Fuckin' hell...it'd be like one of those shite 'An Audience With...' tv specials.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
