Blur just doesn't feel right to me. I can't see why they'd want to do it again so soon after nailing it last time. Likewise, I don't think the festival would be keen to rebook them so soon.

I'm still going with Foos, Kanye, Swift.

yeah it would be a peculiar booking. if there wasn't such a lack of other headliners at the moment i'd have written them off too, but i just can't see it being Foos, Kanye, Swift. something about that just doesn't sit right with me - maybe it's the huge move away from what the festival usually books. i'd be over the moon with those headliners but i feel they'd be somewhat alienating to a lot of people, especially after having Metallica last year

Just to throw in another name for Billy big bollocks' clues, Muse played Sunday in 04 and by all accounts nailed it, and they're free on the Saturday.

Also a rock band so there's that. Also would be as shite a booking as Coldplay so there's that. Also probably unlikely in terms of touring schedule so there's that. Also exclusive to Download so there's that.

Surely you knew and was just advertising the fact that you were selling tickets.

We're not all idiots round here you know.

Fair play though. If you can't advertise your own stuff on your website where can you.

exactly - i feel dirty

so you're saying Muse will headline, right?

did Robbie play on Sunday?

Or they may feel that they're covering all angles with the difference in genres between the 3. I don't think many people would be alienated with that trio. Metallica may of alienated some due to Glastonbury not booking metal bands traditionally. Acts similar to Kanye and Swift have headlined before so it wouldn't be a huge shock to most.

Apparently he's in rude health according to his inner circle (errr, his producer Tony Visconti), he just appears to be following a similar path to his idol Scott Walker. Think we're more likely to see Scott than Dave though.

Read that when the album came out yeah. But Ive read otherwise since. And previously.

He may be much better but good enough for a tour? 2 hours a night takes a lot out of a 68 year old man with a heart condition.

Billy big bollocks also said the Saturday headliner has previously played the Sunday and nailed it.

His subsequent posts also showed the Sunday act he was talking about was Fleetwood Mac, and you were the one moaning at others for suggesting them, Matt, so it's odd that you're bringing up his info after that.

Got to be Stevie then ?

Bowies health has been relatively poor for 12 years.

I dont see why one act would make you go or not go to Glastonbury though. Its 2 hours from the 120 hours you would've been spending there.

Am holding out on the prospect of P*****

Or a miracle that Brian Johnson has a change of heart about doing 2 nights in a row

Random obscure theory - John Fogerty has played the festival before and absolutely nailed it, albeit not on the Pyramid stage. He's doing a tour focused on the early CCR albums (ie full of classics) and has a gap until 30th June.

BANK

That happens i will be there, grew up on CCR

Don't take it personally.

But if you aren't going to go, why are you on a Glastonbury forum, talking about not going to Glastonbury?

i don't take anything personally :)

i fully admit that i bought a ticket on the speculative basis that AC/DC would be there, based on Eavis' comments

That looks extremely unlikely but i still look in several times a day for gossip that would be good compensation for no AC/DC

All my music taste is in a period from 1960 to early 1990's, that is probably not great for Glasto, only modern stuff i like are The Struts, Royal Blood, Olly Murs (yes he is a guilty secret of mine) and Lady Gaga

Good acts from the period i mentioned turn up i would love to go, but 120 hrs of Taylor Swift, Muse, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Libertines, Calvin Harris etc i would rather be waterboarded than see the likes of them

That sort of junk is easily avoided. Do you think we all watch that trash??

Have you looked at previous years line ups on the smaller stages?

does Lady Gaga not count as "the likes of" Taylor Swift, this world is too complicated for me

Naw, because Gaga does that ridiculous psuedo-art thing, which isn't art at all, it's just shit. Swift makes massive tunes.

There are over a hundred stages. You won't have 120hours of the above unless you really want that. Surely you must realise the old timers on here would also hate everything you mention here

Fortunately, most of the oldtimers I know aren't quite so closed off musically and stuck in the past as BonScott.

I love it already!

I don't know what Paul actually does with All Day because it doesn't sound like anything he can actually be involved with but he's credited.

I wondered that too but it turns out the main hook of the song is based on an unreleased song of his called Two FIngers
