Russy please order the following for kind of worse -

Full formed Take That

Katy Perry

One Direction

Three man limping Take That corpse

worst: fully formed take that

three men limping take that corpse (as least there's less of the c**ts on stage)

one direction

least worst: katy perry

I grew up with take that being the absolute worst of the worst. The fires of my hatred will never dim!

(although someone did mention bros the other week, and they run them close!)

This to me sounds to me like Take That.

Why did I know all of these newspaper articles/ sun articles would lead to something...

If the headliners are take that, foo fighters and taylor swift I can imagine a lot of people being very surprised, and this board going into total meltdown.

it just can't / won't happen though. the organisers don't want death threats and to alienate their audience. one out of three is okay, but replacing the standard boys with guitars for two huge pop acts is a risk too far

I know you like to play your own game Matt42, but it's usually sensible to read what Neil has posted in the pages just prior to your posts.

i didn't say you were wrong.

Who knows, you might be right. After all, someone with a very random guess is going to be right by chance.

Well I want to be wrong.. If that's a point, i'd much rather be wrong than right in this circumstance...

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
