IIRC 'The legend slot' term was coined by this website

It was only the phrase "legends slot" was coined here, it still exists in the schedules, just never referred to as that. The Glastonbury Free Press last year called it the "Sunday unofficial fourth headliner", and I'm pretty sure Eavis has made reference to it multiple times at the Q&A. I think the programmed called it the "oldie slot" once as well.

I can only imagine Damon smuggled him in somehow.

I saw in an interview he said along the lines of: "there's a band from Manchester, but nobody really listens to them anymore." I took this to mean James though, didn't they fall out for not going on until after the England game in 1998?

she's sandwiched Big weekend right inbetween a US tour.

She's got a show in LA on the night of the 22nd, and playing Big Weekend in Norwich on the 24th.

If anything that's more extreme than 4 nights on the trot in one country.

no fucking idea because if i did it would have been on the day they played but i'd been working 10pm-8am the previous night so i just threw on stuff without noticing. why? :-)

Thats a bit of a blow. I can't do 2016's festival due to a wedding (I'm the best man, I can't not go). I want Sunday to be "The Day" of my festival this year.

In a perfect world my Sunday headliner would be at the Pyramid.

C'est le vie, no point in being too bothered.

the Sunday Pyramid headliner was always likely to be the more 'pop/commercial' choice - Taylor, Florence, Elton etc. seems to be a common trend with the last few festivals (since 2011)

I would have watched Elton John. That's the one of the popier / commercial potential headliners I was hoping for.

Who knows, The other stage could have Sigur Ros, Iggy Pop and Weezer on? I'll be in my element there and will have forgotten what a Pyramid even looks like.

Still not worth getting too carried away with thinking it's definetly T-Swizz, Neil has said his info isn't 100% concrete so you might yet be luck. I'd take Elton John if it didn't happen too tbh.

Nah it was earlier in the day than that. I was walking past it from Other Stage direction and you were walking the other way. I thought it was the Saturday when I was walking back from Warpaint, before Kodaline played the Other. Was it definitely the Friday? Maybe early Friday when I was walking from Blondie on the Other to Drenge on the JP. Dunno.

I was working all day Saturday but I did do that exact journey in the opposite direction at that exact time on Friday, Bipolar Sunshine on JP then a bit of John Newman on the Other. Not that it really matters but nice to know anyway
