I could see Biffy headlining Download next year between album tours. I think they'll do Glastonbury on the next album tour so next year might be only opportunity for them to play Download for a while. Or Soni I guess.

Just read a interview with Nate saying Foos have some plans for the anniversary next year plus doing the festivals. I can see them being the first headliner announced

They were always gonna be doing festivals somewhere. The 'special plans' probably increases the chances of them doing large shows here instead of festivals.

Has anybody else seen the video for Slipknot's new single 'The Devil In I'? I think it's bloody brilliant. I don't like Corey's new mask, but the masks that the new bassist and drummer are wearing are pretty cool, they're a bit like the Maggot mask. On top of the video, I think it's a great song.

Foos were the number one target for next year, it looked like it could happen but it seems like its no goer after all.

However, nothing is set in stone right now either way. But it would seem it won't be happening.

I know Lucky will come in and tell me it's they're not or something but I reckon Slipknot are firmly in the bag. If Slipknot want to do Download (and Corey said he'll be there) then they'll play. If Foos' stadium dates rule them out, I would imagine it rules QOTSA and AC/DC out too as they'd also be doing them. Slipknot/Biffy/GNR I reckon.

Slipknot will probably play Soni but they could easily do Download too and I doubt they'd sub at R&L

It's gonna be interesting when bands start getting announced,

seems like we could actually be in for a good year of headliners. Some big acts are 'around' right now.

if they have Slipknot again then they're gonna need two impressive headliners to counteract the repeat booking. to be fair, Slipknot headlining next year wouldn't be any worse than them headlining in 2009 and 2013 - at least they'll have new material this time round
